Cooling system conversion

Converting a 4AGE 20v cooling system into Rear wheel drive(RWD) form

STANDARD COOLING SYSTEM:

The original cooling system of the 4AGE 20v uses a large thermostat assembly that bolts to the back of the head, this has the water inlet on the end and the water oulet is at the rear exhaust side.

Whilst ideal for an east-west engine layout when installed in a north-south format such as in a sprinter it causes some issues. Firstly the engine will not bolt into place because the thermstat housing fouls against the firewall.
