Copied from Toymods

Have owned this for a while now, but it has been stashed at Takai's and then another mate's house until I had finished the Cressy and cleaned up the shed. So I present...

One cleaned shed with completed Cressy

Which allows for

And allows for progress.

Bits collected so far -
2JZGE
Front Sump
Autronic SMC
JZ -> W58 Bellhousing
Rebuild True-Trac Diff
Rust free hatch and bonnet
R32 GTR brakes

Update action

I bought a front sump a while back on ebay. While I was told it was complete, it wasn't. Came only with pressed tin bowl and allow piece. Ordered all the other bits new through work, including a nifty little block off plate for the oil level sender.

Part numbers of the baffle, pickup, pickup gasket, block off plate and block off plate gasket.

As it started this evening, with plenty of oil leaks.

Hour or so later, minus air box, radiator, condensor and most A/C piping.
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/1/8/7/22217.jpg

Poo should be out by Saturday, ready for 2JZ fitments.

Also, if anybody sees a set of 16x8 or 16x9 SSR Meshies on as close to 0 offset as possible, give me a yell!

Takai said he could come round on Saturday to help me pull the engine.

I got bored after dinner, so a few beers and a couple of Megadeth CD's later...

W58 minus bellhousing

Height differences between the M and JZ bellhousings. This is because the JZ block comes out around the flywheel.

JZ bellhousing installed

Busy today. Picked up:

5kg Cro-Mo Flywheel. No HD clutch kits available until June 16th due to a back order of clutch covers. Xtreme or Exedy as they both use the same supplier. So that's a bi shit.
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/1/8/7/22224.jpg

Ground Control coilover sleeve kit.
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/1/8/7/22225.jpg

Also grabbed some RA60 struts and power steering arms, and a set of GH Sigma LCA's. Stock MA61 LCA and steering arm on the bottom, Sigma LCA and RA60 PS arm on the top. Still need to get the PS arms reamed out to the right taper for the Sigma ball joint.

Now minus front sus
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/1/8/7/22227.jpg

Also grabbed my 2J from Takai.

Rear engined 2JZ Astina
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/1/8/7/22228.jpg

Got it home and pulled the sump to swap it over, and the cam covers. Clean as a whistle inside. Big end and Main bearing are in new condition.
http://users.adam.com.au/djstew/Supra/16052009123.jpg

Sump should go in in the next couple of days. Need to order my shocks and cut down the struts to weld on the sleeve kit. Also waiting on a complete Super Pro bushing kit.

Not much time this weekend. Corporate box at the footy and a work do on Sunday.

Front sump all installed
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/1/8/7/22230.jpg

Bonneville copy engine mounts installed. You can see 4 of the Yaris coils I'm using too. Built in ignitors.

JZX81 Master Cylinder left over from a front cut bolted on. Stock one was leaking badly, as can be seen on the front of the booster. This one is 1" instead of 15/16". If it is no good it didn't cost me anything :P Lines need a little bit of tweaking.
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/1/8/7/22233.jpg

Just a little peek at the wheels I got from VA61DETT. Stock rear suspension with the arm jacked up to the bumpstop
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/1/8/7/22234.jpg
And modded Sigma arms that Takai and I knocked up on the weekend
http://img192.imageshack.us/img192/6759/07062009150.jpg

No more rear suspension. Bushes are super flogged out.

http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/1/8/7/22237.jpg

Minor update.

Dropped the tank this arvo to check inside and to do a fuel pump. Not too bad inside. Some scum. Best way to clean it out? Especially in the swirl pot?

Will be getting my new Autronic loom next weekend, and should have the throttle body plates here sometime this week to start making up the manifold. Brake rotors are in as well. 296x32 R32 GTR fronts and LS400/UZZ30 rears.

From memory they are the same. To use *A6* Celica ones you'd need to run Celica struts too, like I am. Different bolt spacing. Get's you some extra neg camber too.

Doors are off of a Holden HK Brougham

Long overdue update. Little bits done. Nearly all parts collected now. Can start putting it back together.

Cut/Lathed the rotors at TK's to use for the handbrake drum, and as an under disc spacer for the LS400/UZZ30 rear rotors.

http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/1/8/7/24585.jpg

Struts cut and sleeves attached. KYB AGX MR2 rear shocks inside. 7kg/mm Otomoto springs.
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/1/8/7/24586.jpg

4.556 Diff gears to go in the TrueTrac
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/1/8/7/24587.jpg

Full GTR ITB setup with linkages, plenum, TPS. planning on mounting this upside down the overcome the other side of the engine compared to the Pissin.
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/1/8/7/24588.jpg

Also got an S13 alloy radiator (Same as Chris') and made (copied Chris') brackets. Need to get my rotors redrilled, then can start on the brake setup. Also picked up some 225 RE001's and 245 RE01's for cheap to go on the meshies.

Maybe. Dunno if I can be bothered spending big on an NA build instead of just slapping a turbo on the side.

Main thing is to just get it going. I haven't worked on it in a while.

Dorp dorp... fabbed manifold fits perfectly.
http://gallery2.plebeians.net/d/30461-1/01082010231.jpg

Just a bit of coat hanger support and its all sitting in there a treat. Clears the strut tower nicely and just clears the heater box bulge:
http://gallery2.plebeians.net/d/30464-1/01082010232.jpg

Will send it off to be welded up properly now.

But for now some more gratuitous shots:
