I can't believe they still charge so much to get in!!!

If they dropped the price they would have heaps more people going which would make sponsors happier to part with cash and we would have more people at a higher level
They would be better off charging $10 to get in and pack the place out and probably make more money in the long run anyways.

Trying to cash in on a sport that is stuggling as it is makes no sense IMHO it's still a grass roots sport in Australia especially because of the GFC it's going backwards and the general lack of funds floating around at the moment make things even harder for the people who want to slide
They should be supporting the back yard mechanics out there with much lower entry fees and cheaper entry for spectators.
you can't get milk out of a dead cow!!! or a baby one let alone try to skim cream of the top $40 is a joke.

I wish some one would start up another national drift series 5 rounds in each state each year run by local drift clubs with footage of the events posted on a website (then potential sponsors can get a good idea of how many people are interested in the sport and will see their logo etc in that footage)
Then the top five or so in each state get a free ticket to slide in a national comp show that online and SBS Channel 9 etc

yep I'm a dreamer might as well suggest state or federal government funding 1c per litre tax on fuel to pay for it ha ha
At least it would get some kids off the street and onto the track

Day was fairly average.

I was having more fun watching the go carts go round on the north circuit.

Was plenty of people there but if there was a lower entry fee we would have attracted more people.

The sport would definately benefit with interstate rounds and getting a bigger crowd.

And i forgot the last time i paid +$10 for a sausage sandwhich and a power aid, was a complete ripoff.

+1 for making AE86DC a cams club and holding there own drift days and small competitions :)
