looks like this riggy will be seeing a set of 17x9 +15 drift tek lookalikes

they all come black so i shall be painting them bronze like what was on my 86 :)

got 2 coilpack plugs coming also to fix the samll missfire it has

also wound the boost back to 9 psi as at 12psi using the gay "power up" boost T it was spiking and giving me a big dose of boost cut which i dont like so until i get anothe bit of vac line ive wound it down and letting it spike to 10psi

verry happy with it though, shall be a fine drift bus once it has some RCAs, swaybars and all the bushes redone... oh and and ecu so i can run 20psi through the fucker

cheers, im test fitting a mates avs type 7's on it tomorro they are 17x9 +30 and it looks like they are gonna hang slightly so when i get the new wheels i think ill go +25 as i want to keep it looking neat and tidy, but ill see how the +30s go and if i can fit the other 15mm under there without guard work ill do that, just dont want to flare the guards at this stage, they are already rolled though which is good

im thinking a 215/45r17 is gonna be the go also, maybe a 225 if the stretch is too much

hey all i recently pulled my cressida lsd apart to have a look and i noticed that the way they align the friction plates and clutch plates are not ideal for having a tight lsd im sure most of u x83 guys already know this but anyway apon changing the setup of the diff i wondered if i upgraded the spring in the center of the diff to a stronger one it should put more pressure on the plates and make the diff tighter so i got 4 custom made
(it was the minimum i could get):mad: so anyway i only recently got my car on the road and the diff feels great it hasnt singled once and im running 265 18's so from my experiance it works so now iv explained myself i have the other 3 springs i didnt use up for sale

the spring basically pushes the clutches together so i was thinking instead of getting another spring made maybe i whack some washers inside where the spring is to "preload" it a wee bit, but not sure if it would make enough differnce...

no fuckin idea hahha, in each side it has clutches and thrust washers and a gear that meshes with the 4 spider gears

in the middle of the spider gears it has a spring which pushes 2 plates against the 2 outer gears which push on the clutches and such

from my research putting in aheavier spring pushes the clutches together harder

mmmm, this thing leaked half a dipstick since monday... rear main is well and proper fucked, went and got a seal, so should be getten ripped out on saturday and getting a bit of a freshen up and what not

pulled engine, new rear main, sealed up half moons in the back of the head, put my other clutch disk in with more meat, put it all back together, and in the process i snapped off the ISV (pictured below) so now it wont start, well it did once and i drove it then i tried to fix it and fucked it more coz it ran like a pile of asscrack, so now waiting on callum (deleta) to send me a new sensor pending pic of it, also fucked around with my spare LSD it now runs one of the springs out of my old clutch inside the stock spring so that SHOULD make it tight as, as its preloaded like 20mm, anyway ill swap em over when it runs again and ill see how it goes, if not ill pull the other one apart and mod it more and so on till i get me a nice tight diff

also been talking to ant about an adaptronic for it as he does a patch loom to make it plug n play so thinking of buying one next week

then i guess its wind boost into it till it makes 400+rwhp

that thing is fucking sick, if i end up keeping the cressida front i want the chaser grille like he has

on another note, i welded the hinge up on my fuel door so my fuel is now protected from the natives

also killed my clutch, its well driveable for daily duties but no skids unfortunately

so getting a stock clutch rebuilt with mass clamp load and a button centre so that should be good

also getting used to driving it now, my 86 i could clutch up at like 2500-3500 and continue to spin all the way up the revs, this boatosaurus needs a big taste of 6500 rpm haha been fairly brutal with it but its good fun.

so in the next 1.5 weeks i should have paid for a clutch rebuild and a plun and play adaptronic :) 20+ psi of boost down this fuckers neck should make it boogie

got my trust copy oil cooler and relocation kit from jamie at import auto parts

got 550cc injectors on the shelf ready to go

buying adaptronic ecu on wednesday from ant @ kaizen garage

so end of the week it will go to my mate dean @ dean amos performance for a road tune and then ill take it for a power run and hopefully make 400rwhp, thats the goal, cant wait, heres a few pics, engine bay looks a million bucks compared to when i got it, polished every removable piece of alloy in there lol

also painted the vertical bits in the grille all satin black, i think it looks wayy better

wired in a rb20det igniter from a a31 today, plugged it up, loaded a tune up and she started, has a bit of a missfire as i think the male crimp terminals have a few bad connections, but all good as i only did it like that to get a start out of it, need to track down a dead 1jz igniter to make a plug in loom for it coz i want to build this car in a way that everything can be converted back to standard incase of defects/reshell or anything of the like

so this one shall be a good quality build with everything done as perfect as i can be fucked doing it, which is pretty good when i want it to be

hopefully gettin another tune off josh young tonight or tomorrow so ill load that up aswell and see if that makes it better or worse

either way i cant drive the car as i got a few high knock levels on the datalog today but not sure wethere that was the knock sensor detecting the miss it had, meh better be safe than sorry

thanks man, had a HEAP of troubles with the car since i put the adapt in :(

ran it outta fuel testing it in my street, put more in,kept blowing efi fuses so started sorting that out and ran it out again and it clogged my fuel filter, changin fuel filter and i kocked all my igniter pins out and cranked it and shorted it out so its fucked, in all this i fouled the plugs and had to buy more

ive had a great 2 days

other than that when i got it to go for the few mins it did, 15 psi was fun :P

cant wait for 20 psi and .63 rear, that goes on tomorrow and hopefully getting another igniter then we can start again andd hopefully all goes well

Well I finally got it off thanks to some advice from petey. Gonna chop my screamer pipe out to make for an easy install and wicked cool sounds

going to take my manifold down to my uncles workshop in the morning and get this devil stud out of it, then take my dump pipe out and chop off screamer and possibly add another join in it so I'm able to put it in after I've installed the manifold and turbo etc, then it's back to the drawing board to try find a short in the wiring which is causing me to blow the main efi fuse

got all the exhaust side of the engine back together today, new screamer (pictured), tomorrow or next day ill put the fuel rail back in with the 550cc usdm 2jz injectors, plug new igniter in and then the adapt again, hopefully it will start then and hopefully drive good enough to drive across town to get it tuned

nothing wrong with the outcomes of a street tune, i mean, you dont drive around on a dyno after your car is tuned do you??? the best thing is he constantly replaces his sensors like the wideband probe to make sure they are accurate.

well new igniter comes from superspark this week or early next, then tune, then engineers cert, then rego in nsw, then GT35r and about 16-18 psi tune and it should make the lucky 400rwhp, then i dare say it wont be touched for a while as i wanna pay off my loans n shit and buy somewhere to live hahah
