hey guys,

last week i stayed with a guy for work, and he had a set of (i think theyre SSR meshies) with a +47 off set, and i want to put them on my ke70. Theyre a 3 piece wheel, and i was wondering instead of modifying the bolts and stuff could i invert the face on the rim to make it a -47 offset?

Cheers,
Andrew

+47!!!!! far out.

usually you try and stick to wheels that are close..ish to zero to flip them. thus it doesn't make that much of a difference to the poor axel that is trying to hold them up. ie a +12 turning into a -12. even then it looks a bit funny though.

this maybe wrong....still thinking about the implications of flipping a wheel around. i don't think its as simple as changing the offset from positive to negative.

you sure its +47.....? (i don't think any 15" wheel in that offset would even fit on an 86/70)

Wheels could well be off something like an S2000. I think from memory their stock wheels are +50 offset. Although, if they're small enough to fit on your Ke70 (<15"?) then they're probably too small to have belonged to an S2000...

Food for thought..

I'd rather see an ae86/ke70 with stock wheels with good suspension then an ae86/ke70 with that much +offset

also if they are +47 flipping will not make them -47 (it will be even more negative!) And if they FWD offset I'd guess they are no wider than 7J

+47 SSR Meshies, sounds like rims to suit early 90's civics.

theres one spacaro (sp?) rim on yahoo from time to time, 15x7.5 +50.

you might nock it but it makes use of all the avaible space in the guards...

you might find these are 4x100 or 4x110 even, ill be suprised if there really 4x114.3 and +47

my suggestion before you go into the trouble of flipping them . just put the wheels on backwards so the wheel face is facing your brake system ,

then stand back and have a look at how much dish you got and how almost stupid it looks .

next(not for the faint hearted. go for a drive on them and report back result of how many chicks you pulled for having uber dished rims.

A. Do not reverse these wheels.

B. Do dot reverse these wheels.

C. Do you see a pattern here?

edit: so early early civic, I hear integras have huge positive offset, but are they 114.4?

the reason I ask because in the future I may need this exact size wheel for a project

thanks for the offer, but I have learned not to buy spares for potential projects as my money is down and pile of junk high. Ask me in a few years

sorry to interrupt you sale thread

get some 30-40mm bolt on wheels spacers and use them till you buy something good ?

or you could get 8 inch or 10 inch weld on 1 piece alloy bands fitted at any offset you want .. make them worth a lot more any good automotive engineering/wheel repair place can do this for you

integra have 4x100 with +42 offset. same as civic. only the type R from 96-98 come with 4x114.3

4x114.3 high positive offset would fit early Mistubishi Galant VR4 and Lancer Evolution models in case anyone was still wondering. Early Nissan possibly too...
