its leigh pidwell from victoria for those that dnt know...

he was leading the tasmanian series at the start of the event and basically had to drive something to get asmany points and stay in touch with the leaders...

he smashed the ripple strip quite hard in practice and bent an s13 control arm during practice...trying to source a control arm and then get it fixed wasnt seeming too likely...he jumped into a sr20 bluebird owned by another competitor and managed to scrap into the top 16....

the other drivers allowed him to drive his ke70 if fixed intime rather than driving the car he qualified in....

he ghetto'd it up with the help of a couple ae86dc members using a corona lca on one side and managed to get out onto the track for top 16 just in time...obviously didnt even manage an alignment....

he didnt progress but he did get those much needed points to stay in check with the top 4 heading into the final round next month....

The picture of Pidwell was taken just after he broke the lca, that's why it has heeps of toe out. It runs s13 lcas that has been modified so he can adjust the length, similar to the Ajps ones but doesn't run a rosejointed end. The xt130 arm we put in was about an inch shorter that the other side so we corrected the camber withthe cambertop and had to offset the steering rack because the was not enough adjustment to correct the toe without doing this. He got back out there but had issues with the brake caliper hitting on the swaybar.. But good on him for being out there

was an awsome day, the level of driving just keeps on getting better, and there is some tough looking cars there now to

also good to see a big crowd enjoying themselves

cheers guys
