yo,
was just wondering if anyone knows a good place, with fair prices or if you may actually do it yourself, getting a set of rims re-drilled.
Im looking for something with DISH and offset in the 14" area for my beema which is 4x100 and all 4x100 rims are rice with +40 offsets or over 9000$ for a set. figured since i would be crashing my car a bit no point wasting money on fancy rims.
cheers

im sorry but whats the point in spending that much on wheels?
im just going to BEND THEM and fucking destroy the car anyway... offset and stretch is desired result not pose factor.

900 delivered for a set of brand new wheels is cheap?

something like that... beggers cant be chosers but steelies is better (more practical) then alot of the crap out there.

I see a lot of 15x6.5 et 20-30 wheels 4sale. Normally around the $400 mark.

you know it would be cheaper to just get like 14x7 or 8 cheviot meshies whatever intended for commodores and the like from pick-a-part for $100 max and getting them redrilled for what like $100 a set ;)
if you have to budget like me you would understand.

werd.

its worth checking out the wreckers and grabbing some new hubs. my mates e30 325 has 4x114.3 hubs, and another mates e30 (which was imported) had the 4x100 hubs. i have a feeling e34 5 series hubs might fit (check out ECCA) which would give you 5 stud also. and the 5/7 series rims are sick!

i have no info about re-drillng rims though.

true that true that - ive been considering the 5lug conversion, better brakes too ofcourse... then the options for rims becomes ALOT broader too. i will have to do some research, all i know so far is i think theyre off an e36.

have some steelies widened or reversed.

eastern wheel works in lilydale will do both for you.

also Gemini run 4 x 100, could find some gay rims on one of their forums or egay...

or Ajax wheel repairs in moorabin

both are the same price for jobs as i got a qoute the other day to build 15 x 10" steelies

$40 for redrill and $100 for widened rims each... not bad

from which place?

from which place?

eastern wheel works - the widening was for 14x6 to 14x8 steel wheels and the re-drilling is for any (as long as there is room!) wheels.

ae86

and widening is for 3pc wheels only yes?

i2obert
19th October 2009, 09:17 PM
both places qouted me $95 for new outter shell ether 15 x8 or 15 x 10 as there the only shells they can get but they can cut and shut the wheels to make 15 x 9 and so on but that will cost more

and $50 to weld in new centers as i was going to get some steelies widen

i2obert

and as for ae86s you can widen normal steel rims 3pc and 2pc

so have they got any issues if its a smaller size ? 14" ? wheel design isnt an issue for them as for widening ? just drilling depending on the back if theres any space to remake stud

i2obert

No none at all only reason im going 15s is bigger tire selection they can do 14inch ssr mk2 and then turn them into 15inch ssr mk2 in any size and offset you want they can make rims from scratch to best to call them and discuss what you are after

they need to be steelies because the widened barrels they use are the roh steelie barrels

IE, 4WD hub sized center holes.

matt99

Yeah, I looked into doing that to, still will probably someday. Got to make sure its almost perfectly center. Even 1mm out will feel fucked on the freeway.
