Hey.

Does anyone know of any decent dished rims in 4x100 that are sold commercially? I've got a little Micra that I plan to source some rims for and I want to know what is available so I know what to save up for. I'm hoping for around 14x7 (would prefer 8" but don't think it'd fit) with a fairly low offset.

Cheers.

Edit: Sorry mods, just realised that this probably belongs in the General Automotive Topics section...

Another question: how the hell am I supposed to know if they'll fit? Haha. I know the centre bore has to be at least 59.1mm, but in terms of hitting the inside of the wheel arch or scrubbing against the guards, how will I know without being able to test fit them?

If they are low enough offset and not too wide (7"), I won't have to worry about them hitting the inside of the wheel arch (correct?) but will have to make sure the guards are flared.. is that right? There is hardly any room for a wide rim, which is why I'm thinking I'll need to get a low offset so it's mounted closer to the inner edge of the rim...

when you find the wheel you want, try and find a rim (from a friend or pretend to be interested in a set of wheels down at your local rim shop) of very similar size/offset and check, otherwise expect to need guard flares/a guard roll

Finding that particular size and stuff will be hard though I guess?

try and find a size as close as possible, it would give you a good idea and you can work from that i guess

For anyone who hasn't seen his Micra, take a look.. it's awesome!

Dish comes with the lower offset wheels.

From higher to lower offset, look for wheels to fit:
E30 BMW (+24 stock)
E21 BMW (+18ish stock)
Gemini's (-ve offsets easily available)

BMW wheels are 57mm centerbore though, so you'll have to look for aftermarket wheels or get them bored out.

Good luck, took me about 4 months to find the right wheels to fit my guards (15x6.5 ET13; 4x100 (factory option BBS for E21). But the 14x6 versions of the same wheel pop up fairly often on ebay for pretty cheap. Not heaps of dish though, as I was looking only for sizing.

59mm is a pretty big centerbore, so you'd probably have not much luck with factory wheels.

xsoarerx wheels are 14x7.5 or 14x8 with around +10 offset.

i have a micra as well, 14x7 is a good size, but it has to be anywhere around the +20 to +30 offset to fit properly.
my g/f has sportmaxx 501's in 15x8 +15 and they stuck outside the micra guards by like an inch and ive pumped and rolled the guards by 10-15mm.

so my suggestion would be 14x7 +20 offset. 15's fill the guards nice, but are just that little bit too big, kinda like 16" on a ke/ae. its not bad but doesnt look as nice as it should..

LOL... TO PUT THIS TO REST

14x7.0 -8 & 14x8.5 -10

YOU WILL NOT FIT THESE UNDER STOCK GUARDS, EVEN FLAIRED AS MUCH AS PHYSICALLY POSSIBLE~! CAMBER MUST BE ADDED

the biggest ive seen is like 14x7 +20 on a normal micra

hummm... i say get the rims you want and go from there... to pick get a rim even the stock one and a bunch of spacers, pack the rim out to where you want it to sit without the tyre on and work out what size/offset is needed.

check this one. (below)

How much camber do you get when you lower it, if any?

The spacer idea sounds good. Cheers.

sorry dude, i knew your wheels was something stupid but couldnt remember..

14x7 +15 or +20 should give you something that looks tough. check out ozhoooooooooonda or mx5cartalk as they often have nice wheels that come in 4x100 with some decent offset.

Haha yeah...

I like these Superlite copies (http://www.rotawheels.com/wheels.asp?wheelid=34), but they only come in 13x8 +4 & 13x8 +40... +40 sounds like it would have no dish at all, but +4 might be ok (according to xsoarerx). Dunno how much they'd cost though...

Let me know what you end up getting.
