Dont rush it.

Do plenty of thin coats.

Use 2 pak paint.

make sure its between 18-25 degrees and no wind.

try and close it off from bugs etc too.
they love getting themselves stuck in the paint, and ruining your fun.

Make sure the area your spraying it in is spotless. If your doing it in your garage or shed hose down the floor to stop dust being kicked up when your spraying. Check your spray fan, and paint feed and air pressure on an old piece of tin or something.

Also make sure everywhere is masked off properly, 2 pack will stick to everything and is a pain to get off

I can vouch for that lol.
wax on and wax off with the grease remover. make sure you wax off really well.
and a tack rag is useful too for taking stuff off the paint between coats.

car got painted, came out pretty good, just needs a buff, but im happy with paying $200 for materials and doing it ourselves instead of paying $800 for someone else to do it.

here are the pics, the body has some orange peel effect but the doors turned out way better because we used a different gun, so im thinking about painting it again after the summer with a good gun.

Looks great. Orange peel can be removed with wet sanding with fine sandpaper 1200-2000, then some cutting compound on the buff. Just be careful around the edges and on sharp lines
