So I've decided to sell up. It is an (almost) dead stock well looked after 1985 RT142 Corona SR. It runs a 22RE (2.4 SOHC EFI), W55 gearbox and now an RA60 T series diff (3.89:1 final drive vs 3.42 stock).
The exceedingly rare SR model came with a front lip, rear wing, different tail lights and grille, leather steering wheel and red seat stipes.
Apart from the RA60 diff, the only other modification is a larger diameter exhaust salvaged from the same car, gives it a nice throaty sound.

Good points:
Motor is very strong, extremely torquey, really surprising if you've never driven one before.
Rego til April 2010
Interior is in excellent condition, even for a car of its age.
Car is just generally in great condition, was owned for 8 years before me by an older gentleman who had it serviced and looked over every year when rego was due.
The rarest of the rare when it comes to Coronas, 22RE, W55 gearbox, SR kit, would be fair to say you'd have a hard time finding another one.
T series diff, so LSDs are available.

Bad points:
Overall the paint is in good condition for its age, but the photos are flattering, it has a few imperfections around the place. Also the front lip is cracked on both sides and held on by cable ties for now.
Just recently (past fortnight) after a few dirt roads on a vacation the steering has gone a bit vague and stiff. I believe one of the ball joints on the LCAs has broken, and crap may have gotten into the rack through a broken rack boot. Not particularly hard or expensive things to fix, I just don't have the motivation at the moment.
Also I think the shocks are gone or on their way out, but this and above are the types of things you replace anyway if you were to modify it.

I am in Newcastle, available for inspections just about whenever, contact via pm or 0405 085 694.

I also have available loads of quality new AJPS gear which I will be selling seperately, specifically:

xA6x Struts converted to coilovers, 8kg springs, short stroke AGX (ST185)
xA6x brakes (larger, vented)
xA6x power steering arms
Cusco Camber tops
40mm RCAs
Super Pro bushes for LCA castor rods, Sway bar link and chassis mounts (front and rear), rear trailing arms
Rebuild kit for the front calipers
QFM pads 0-780 (hard street, hills, track)
7kg rear springs 205mm
Boge short stroke rear shocks
Adjustable pan hard rod
Drift button
Steering Boss kit

Braided brake lines

Essentially everything to set the car up for some serious fun. This cost me $4000 all up and a couple of months wait, but if you would like the car and this together we could work something out.

You still go the bits and pieces out of it? like the cusco camber tops and stuff? I'm in TAS and have a 83' model corona that I want to have some fun with so am very interested in parts for it :) will they all suit?
