For sale is a 1976 Genuine LX Holden Torana L31 SLR5000

body-

* it had a full bare metal respray 5 years ago in a custom honda red with black
* all new fiberglass flares, rear spoiler and front air dam
* the shell had very minor rust which was properly repaired and now is 100% rust free
* glass is tinted and front windscreen replaced 12 months ago, windscreen rubber and chrome strip replaced as well
* new door mirrors
* new 80L alloy drop tank



engine/drive train equipment-

* 308ci 5L holden V8 (as per factory)
* has been converted from the M21 4 speed to a strong W58 supra 5 speed manual box with heavy duty clutch and lightened flywheel
* diff has been swapped to a 3:08 ratio centre in good condition and features the stronger fine spline axles, wheel bearings were replaced at this time as well


engine-

* engine was removed 2years ago for a clean up/paint and new sump gasket and new water pump
* engine is serviced with penrite synthetic oil
* new bosch GT40 coil and ignition leads
* features aftermarket extractors with full tough sounding exhaust
* carby is a holly 650CFM with vacuum secondaries with new chrome filter
* has chrome rocker covers with new gaskets and tuner wing nuts
* has a larger camshafts which give a nice lope at idle
* new recently fitted with a gilmour belt drive kit
* radiator is a triple core item with big twin thermo fans and dress up cap



suspension and brakes-

* stud pattern converted to chev
* large vented HX front brakes fitted, new pads and machined disks
* brand new master cylinder and brake booster
* new pedders sports lowered springs and shocks front and rear
* new over hauled rear brakes, machined drums, new shoes, new wheel cylinders
* new longer wheel studs fitted


wheels-

* new chrome 15x7 front and 15x10 rear Weld racing wheels, big dish, period correct
* new chrome wheel nuts to suit
* 90% BF Goodridge 225/60 front 275/50 rear


interior-

* mostly original interior
* half bolt in roll cage
* new pioneer head unit with 6" pioneer speakers
* VDO oil pressure and water temp gauges
* fire extinguisher


other-

* new clutch slave and master cylinders
* new full rubber door kit
* electronic high flow mallory fuel pump
* the genuine ash tray was personally signed by the late racing legend Peter Brock
* professionally tinted windows in "formula one" tint, darkest legal on the market i think.
* w85 replaced about 12 months ago, was pulled down and inspected by trans specialist before being installed


this is a tough street car, a real pleasure to drive and a regretful sale. this would suit a collector or enthusiast. have owned it for just over 5 years, have not raced or abused the vehicle since owning it. have verification papers from Holden to confirm that this is a genuine L31 SLR5000 along with the build plates of course.
