wat about marulan or raleigh raceway??

maybe a 86 privite day in the near future?

sundee
11th January 2010, 09:00 PM
just got club stuff atm - marulan last i heard they were dealing with complaining locals.

ill look into it. private days could be something to look at. not bad thinking

Beau
12th January 2010, 01:41 PM
FYI Marulan recently slapped up new sound walls and other stuff, however i have not heard back if they are allowing drifters back, so far its just nancy boy grip drivers

redsprinter
12th January 2010, 01:59 PM
from what i have been told and heard is that if drift car are to go back onto Marulan . they will enforce some sort of noise restriction . so like no screamer pipe or straight through exhausts .

this has not been confirmed. me like most other club member of drift clubs are waiting anxiously for some sort of confirmation .

Beau
12th January 2010, 02:06 PM
well if thats the case that means im out and any other lightly modd'ed turbo car..

looks like it'll just be you 4a boys

Rice86
12th January 2010, 02:36 PM
proper full legal exhaust system cost way to much last time i checked....and drifting isnt fun with no one screaming or atleast 1 car to scream its tits off...seriosuly...watch drifting vidoes with the sound off...boring as peanut with no butter

sundee
12th January 2010, 03:07 PM
Thanks Beau - ill give them a call and see what the go is so we can get an acurate answer. it would really suck if we cant drift their as it looks like a challenging circuit.

i dont really see how putting restrictions like that are going to help their game - it will rule out 90% of us toyota owners - most NA cars have a decent hi velocity(loud) exhaust system, so pretty much all they would get is your local subi/Evo clubs

lets hope restrictions like this dont happen

I had a go with driving sports on sat the 23rd jan,

besides it being so so fkn hot, it was a good day. There where a total of about 12 - 14 drivers and there was so much track time. there where even times when no one was using the track.

Bad points. they only let 2 cars on at a time and the guy that had to check your car before you went on the track had a stick up his ass.

Project d is more leanient and have been doing for a while so know a bit more.
But, driving sports inc. are nubs so if u can take advantage of that and get alot of track time.

And for the price 150 and u get 8 hours of driving that's pretty good. Compaired to 120 for 4 hours?

Just a question beau do u get cams with project d?

pen15
25th January 2010, 01:38 PM
yeah he would have just get in touch with ammi cork btw you owe her $50 lol

Beau
25th January 2010, 01:55 PM
Yer brother L2S. Its $99.00 There is another license under that which is a bit cheaper, but you cant do all events. L2S is No Speed Limit etc.

You have to renew it every year.

Yeh cause the last op north circuit cost me 320 for the day and membership i dont know if that included cams for a year or just the day.

Mat: yeh I called her the other day and said I'm coming to the 5th and I'll bring it then.

Ps drift kid lock your diff or your wasting you time.

Beau
25th January 2010, 03:10 PM
Start with T......

Either way Drift kid, you should be talking to Amy @ Project D instead of getting 2nd hand info off all us!

lock that bitch!

BTW my brother should have a sprinter this week.. maybe if he does i'll get him to bring it on the 5th and drive

drift kid
25th January 2010, 03:18 PM
the only problem for me is, i want to weld it up, and my dad can do it, he's done it all before with his rally cars, but i dont think he'll let me do it to my road car, thats the only problem :/

corknose
25th January 2010, 03:30 PM
Ask him if not just take it out when he's not home take it to a fabrication place or somewhere where they can weld and give it to them and give them a 6pack too.

drift kid
25th January 2010, 04:33 PM

Looks like we going to have to do the driving sports.

next track day, when is it now project d is not doing penut?
Like Mat said, is driving sport or watever still doing penut aswell because its the same track??

I hear so many people complaining about people drifting on the streets but for wat i can see the goverment and private business track owners are the biggest problem why we are on the street and not on the track.

Beau
28th January 2010, 11:14 PM
Thank CAMS!

no Drift days are planned for NSW for 2010 anymore.

DRIFT is dead in NSW

sundee
29th January 2010, 12:21 AM

Beau
29th January 2010, 07:33 AM
Mate I hope you can.

However, the biggest problem is Marulan is kinda a pain in the ass unless you have under 100rwkw, and Peanut track is gonna get old real quick.

I am so fucking EMO about Oran Park closing it aint even funny anymore. Im seriously considering moving to QLD, this state is a joke now.

It would be good if we could get on Eastern Creeks Big boy track. However they don’t like their grass getting touched.

Any drift is better then no drift

Easy-er said then done. Yea it is a absolute awsome idea i think about it every day. But it would simply be to hard to organise unless your goin to do it SOLO. and how would you get around public lybilty ????

OMG866
2nd February 2010, 07:33 PM
you really think 1.5 mill. Jay over at buddy parts said it would cost roughly 300 grand for a sweet japan style track. that leaves how much fr land. maybe 150 grand if you buy like south west of syd. towards golburn???

sundee
2nd February 2010, 07:47 PM
then you would be competing with marulan... land in syd is alot more expensive i think.. i reckon you would atleast need 1mill.

i think its achievable... and a sweet Jap circuit like the onces pictured would be epic as!
