ksev made love with a pole at low speeds...so need to replace park lights, front bumper and headlight surrounds...in typical delazy style rather than just replacing i went one better and now fitting it with KE70 DX front surrounds, grill, corners and tail-lights and possibly along with a chin spoiler...

Well, its officially back on the road now.

Still got a few teething problems though, but ill nut them out in due course.

Need to got a thermo fan on there pretty soon, don't like sitting and ildling for too long.

Also, might have to get another muffler put in, its far too loud for my liking, its pretty much the same setup that i had when i had the 4AC, but now its just stoopid.

Time to clean the shed up now, build a deck for the backyard then by then ill convince the fiance its time to get some fresh paint on this!!

thats exactly what happened with my exhaust. I got it built to be slightly quieter than my old sprinter was and it was perfect with the 4ac but when the new motor went in it was ridiculous. I put in a cat but gave it a heap more back pressure but only made it a little quieter. So i'll have to see what you do with yours and see if anothefr muffler works better

an update for me.
Put an open T series diff in the car yesterday. interestingly enough the ae71 tailshaft didn't have a bolt flange in the middle like the ae86 one did. I was thinking i'd have to go and get the front half of an ae86 shaft from somewhere but i tried a whole t18 shaft and it fitted perfectly!

Then spen this arvo pulling the front struts out and getting them prepped to build the coilovers tomorrow. Turns out they weren't cartridges they were oil filled. AND BOTH front shocks were stuffed!!! Does anyone remember the south park episode where someone dug up a dead body and the police were showing everybody the noise that sex with it would make?
Well one of my front shocks makes that noise :P
So what im wondering is i thought you could only get inserts for ae86 shocks so does this mean that i just pulled 26 year old shocks out of my car?
Anywho i'll put up pics of it all put together tomorrow.

i've got some random mystery springs in mine. way more coils than a stock spring, but not any thicker i don't think. But when ever you'd hit those bits in the road where the road drops away then bumps back up, the body would drop like 3 or 4 inches and squark on the tires hahah

put the coilovers together today. just need to paint the calipers, then chuck them in the car, then just waiting on the new master cylinder and brake pads to get it back on the road. problem is im doing 12 hour days till thursday :(

All problems pretty much sorted now, new injectors in, all flowed and cleaned, idle problems sorted, all sensors plugged in and doing their thing.

End result, im pretty happy with this, not as powerfull as other cars ive owned, but this one is actually pretty fun/funky to drive.

Now, time to clean the body up, and get these coilovers built! also bump steer is a bitch...

i have been running 195/55R15 R1Rs on my s13 as thats what it came with. surprised how much grip they (HAD). they are getting quite fucked now. i guess they are worn out but as soon as they start to get a bit of heat in them they do hookup really well. if they whernt so expensive id buy them in 17". 595 RS maybe worth considering. only thing is apparently they need warming up before they have any grip which for drifiting isnt so great (street or track).

ill prob go with revspecs in 205/40r17 when i swap to 5 stud. not super grippy but should be enough hopefully. was also thinking about 595evo but the sizes in 17" it a bit ghey.

So i raced the rolla at tassie nats on the weekend, had a blast, no locked diff, standard engine/ecu, no turbo's or suparchargers, just a 40hp shot of nitrous in her belly

Managed to get a best run of 14.3 with a 2.0 sixty footer, pretty good going for a tired engine really!

Anyway, last run it ran a bit dry on oil, was blowing a bit of smoke aparently, so engines out already, time for a set of rings and bearings.

Hi guys car up date for fixed the supercharger on the car actualy works now. (stupid boost automotive)
and respeayed the car black and red. No rust n dents:)

Went down and saw the drifts inhobart good to see a few sprinters down there think there was 3 of us
the whit one in skidding around the track. Another red one and me.

BIG UPDATE!!!
My rolla is back on the road, new head gasket. Better catch can setup so no stink coming in the window, new stem seals so no big clouds of smoke, fixed the idle so not at 2000rpm! And the new head means it idles smoother!!
AND biggest of all!! Since my old PVC vacuum cannister had actual fallen in half, dad knocked up a nice neat metal one and replumbed my intake runners so now its one hose to the cannister instead of three!! SO I now have vacuum to help with the rx7 calipers and pajero master cylinder. so my brakes are now incredible compared to before, Im talking put them on at 100 once i settle back into the seat i was doing 50, like 20 metres later LOL

So massive thanks to jonny for heading down in the dark and freezing wind to do the head for me!!

apparently you know you have decent sized cams (288/10mm) when the lobes hit the spark plug tubes and need some creative "persuading" :S

oh and ive got a nobybooth carbon intake plenum on the way...30mm sp-tech trumpets being added sometime soon...

engine runs fine, needs water pump to be changed (new one in car)
have used the t50 out of it so it will come with a great nick t40 (4 speed)

well to understand why I don't have any pics you have to understand that any time i do anything remotely car related it turns into an epic. So basically multiple somethings will go wrong every time. Thankfully today it was my phone. as soon as i needed to take pics and give someone a call to organise to meet up BAM my phone died! Fortunately i predicted this would happen so i had made sure my friend had the number i needed. So then on the way to meet this guy the meeting place got changed, which was fine cos i knew that might happen, only the only working phone was my mates in his car and he was following me. So we pull up work out where we are going and head out, only i've led us basically the wrong way. So my mate strikes out on his own (turns out he's going to the wrong place lol) I go the right way but get stuck waiting at this intersection when my car decides to shit with me by over heating. Now i can't turn the car off to let it cool down cos the battery is flat and my mate has buggered off with the jumper leads and my phone is flat. So i decide i'd rather be doing 60 cooling down the car and heading the wrong way LOL
Anyway i finally get to the spot to find the guy im meeting about to bugger off. Anyway the point is by the end of this epic I get home wack my phone on charge to take some pics and after a bit rush outside to find its DARK!!!!!! Even the rotation of the earth is out to get me haaha

But yeah it looks REALLY good and will hopefully look even better when i get the wheels cleaned up!!
