ORDERING SOON! Orders to be in before July so we can order in July!

Ok so you've just put a new engine into your car... but it revs higher than the tacho says. so to avoid over reving your gonna install a new tacho ... but your only options are SuperCheapAuto ones or whatever the local auto shop has ... now we all know that these are not the best things in the world and when you put one in your car they stick out like dogs balls because they light up blue or red and are all shiny silver ... but i now have a solution to this...

introducing the Elliot Design LC 80L and LC 100L
these are made in England and have been used in motorsport in the UK for years

they are a light weight tacho designed for race & street modified engines and that means they have a high RPM on them... so yes i can get you a tacho that reads 12,000RPM hell if you like i can get you one that reads 18,000 RPM but we all know we aren't gonna need one that high.

anyway there's a few designs to choose from.

these are just a few samples of the work that can be done, they can incorporate any logo, style or colours into your tacho

heres the spec's
* 80 and 100mm diameters.
* Flood illumination with external lamp holder.
* Black or white dial faces.
* Very compact ( only 45mm deep ).
* 200mm long flying leads for easy installation.
* Very lightweight ( LC 80L weighs only 250 grams ).
* Std scales for LC 80L 0-8. 0-10. 0-12. 0-14. 0-16. & 0-18. Krpm.
* Std scales for LC 100L 0-8. 0-10. & 0-12. Krpm.
* Cylinder configuration 2.4.6.8.& 12 cylinder engines
* Accuracy tolerance 1-50rpm

These are compatible with manufacturers’ original equipment, and after market ignition systems, including contact breaker systems.

Mounting brackets are also available.

i have organized a deal with Elliot Design and they are willing to cut some price for us, so the more we can order the cheaper it is.

10+ orders = $225
15+ orders = $205

these prices include shipping straight to your door.
Prices are based on current money exchange rates and cost may slightly change.

I am interested due to how bad the stock tacho is out.

but I am unsure how you will go trying to sell them here, I suspect poorly due people many people being tight arses unless you bolt a dished wheel to this gauge.

I will not have a look at how I would go installing this into my facia, looks like if I got one the oil pressure sendor would have to go.

now got a side view?

what about specifications on accuracy tollerance?

just mount it takumi style

as for other gauges i think they only do tacho's but if they really wanted to i think they could do a range of gauges, but they have done just tacho's for years so they gotta be doing something right.

yes we can get custom designs, on the ones pictured above where the elliot design logo is we could replace that with anything ... even the AE86DC logo .
then you can also choose the colours for the dials and outer edge.

can you please explain the flood illumination?

its the way that they light up when you turn your lights on ... it only has 1 bulb and it is offset from the center so they use flood illumination style to light up the whole gauge. it just means that it has better coverage of the gauge so it lights up evenly.

mounting takumi style is the only option you have, but the guage its self is HUUUUGGGEE. the you may as well bolt a monster tacho in front of you, as the 100mm would be about the same size..

they come in 2 sizes 80mm and 100mm.
a 80 mm one wouldn't be to bad, but if you wanted a monster tacho you would be paying about $300 and it would stick out like dogs balls.

anyway arn't monster tacho's 5" ... the 100mm one is about 4"

back in the day i brought a new monster tacho for $65 delivered. even had carbon fibre and shit in it. then i realized how freakin huge and gay it was so i sold it.

i dont mind the 80mm personally, i cant see any reason why you couldn't mount it in place of the standard one if you dont mind butchering the dash up a bit.

the standard tacho built into the AE86 looks do be about 4" so it could be done with hacking and modifying to get it into the cluster. i have a spare cluster that someone could try it on.

anyway need to get an order list sorted out.

i want one, but have yet to come up with a design

make a design up and send me a pic then i will forward it to elliot design and they can provide a quote.

i found some pic's of one of these after a accident, these are all covered by a 1 year warranty for general mechanical failures, but they are not covered if incorrectly fitted or intentionally damaged... or if this happens...

Exact same as the black face gauge pictured, 80mm.

What colour back light do they have? I'm after green if that's possible?
