theyre all pretty much the same. look in your local phone book and ask around.

if you can be bothered driving down to warilla (where im gonna get mine done) its $50 a wheel max if they have bad gutter rash and still have clearcoat. if they dont have clearcoat and are pretty good, just need a polish its about $20 a wheel

the place is called

PAULS METAL POLISHING

Unit 2/23 Sunset Ave Warilla

its pretty easy to find.

Paul is an absolute champ. he did my wheels for $40 each. they came up awesome. they had some clearcoat on them which is a bitch to remove. thats why they were $40 instead of $20.

he even dropped them off at work for me today personally because i couldnt come pick them up from his workshop (mums car had died).

i highly reccommend his business.

heres a pic of the wheels after i got them back. i have since taped them up and sprayed them gold. currently waiting for them to dry.

well after doing some research riojin was the best source ever i have contacted a few places around the Sydney region and they are asking an excess of $400-$800 easily
PAULS METAL POLISHING has quoted me $50 max for gutter rash and all im going this weekend to give him a set of my mesh wheels that will be mirror finished with green centers as inspired by the willy wag tail and damn these wheels are costing me a fortune but they will look hot

pen15
5th February 2009, 03:03 PM

TE27
5th February 2009, 03:12 PM
thats the rims but the ding is on the other side. ill get a better pic of the ding this arvo. one place in sydney quoted me a grand to get the ding repaired and the wheels polished, that might have included painting them as well but i can paint them myself, its just the repair and the polish that i cant do. ive got no problems doing a trip or two to warilla either, i lived in wollongong for a few years and wouldnt mind getting some chicken burgers from towradgi on the way

and they are 4x110 so no good for you sprinter boys. they are going on my 4age powered KE25.

well no1 came with me but paul is a dead set champ the mob across the street (top gun panel and paint) is doing the centers of my mesh wheels a wicked green as inspired by the willy wag tail and the alen key bolts are going powder coated black these wheels are costing me about $1200 still don't have tires yet lol ill post pics of the before and then after in the pics you can see where the alloy has been eaten away but paul is gonna have these things mirror finish and he is very well priced i will keep u all posted

Oh haha sorry, i wasnt ready to take anything to him yet...

What was the price of just polishing?

pen15
9th February 2009, 09:15 PM
his number is 42972742 address is 2/23 sunset ave warilla NSW 2528

just for a polish is $20 per wheel if they are a little bad its $40 per wheel and for a full recon of the outer lip on the wheels its like $50 even if they have like clear coating and shit on them he is charging me $260 to strip them polish them remove the gutter rash and also polishing the inside of the lip so when i get some stretches on them the mirror finish goes done inside the wheel but call him and talk to him he is a top bloke

Skremn
18th February 2009, 09:25 PM

15th March 2009, 09:29 PM
does he put new clear coat on them? what happens after it rain s a few times and they have brake dust all over them.. after all this will they come up smick again wth just a wash and wipe or will they need another polish

Vance
15th March 2009, 09:49 PM
hes a metal polisher, not a spray painter.

the wheels will be fine with a wipe down with a rag if you leave them for a few weeks without a wash.

pen15
16th March 2009, 07:52 PM
they will stay perfect Paul recommends a particular polish if you go to him he will hook u up with some

Instigator
30th March 2009, 01:46 AM
I did mine myself. Wasn't overly difficult. Around $50 for the paint and polishing stuff and $80 in new bolts. Used a cloth wheel brush thing that goes on a drill with 2 different types of polishing compound, then finished with Solvol.
