Old bigport seems pretty good when you have traction! What's the rules with overtaking people on this? Seems like you were stuck in traffic half the time.

not aloud to overtake through corners...supposed to be against the clock not "racing" other people.
slower cars are meant to wave you past but the silver beamer driver just didnt get it

What car did you get a 1.09 with? Should be back into these next month after brakes arrive although I've been saying that for the last several months. Be good to have a race against some other Corollas

in the black trueno coupe, first time out tho so i was waving ppl past most of the time lol and admiring how quick aaron flew past in the esky.

mrbigport

my best lap of the day with the shagged tyres in the video was a 1:08.48 but that was a real stretch to get it to that

i'm building a 4agTe for mine at the moment...
I have a bigport head, 20v bottom end, gze pistons, hks manifold, t25 snail, and a partridge in a pear tree
add some semi slicks and bring on the 1 minute club (fingers crossed)

i was thinking bout de reging mine and doing something similar. but i just cant bring myself to do it lol still aiming to get as close to 60 as possible with na 16v.
just new coil overs and now the car actualy squats rather than step out.

has anyone put their car on scales yet??

Mine is down to 855kg with 3/4 a tank of fuel, so dry weight of about 825-830kg with a 52% forward weight distribution and 53% to the drivers side.
and im still running full glass and all steel panels, no carbon or fiberglass yet.

should tee up a power to weight comp at a car show - dyno result vs scales result = overall power to weight winner

855, not bad! dead keen to weigh it very soon.
were abouts did u get it accurately weighed? i was just gonna go to the dump at yatala but wouldnt getting percentages of side to side back to front.

thats an awesome idea! lol i just got 110.7 hp atw the other weekend

855kg! Wow last time I weighted the hachi it was about 900kg. Aiming for a 60sec NA as well but a 3S would just make it so much easier.

one of my old boy's mates races speedway and owns a set of scales which i can borrow pretty much anytime i need them.
I'd actually be keen to hold a bit of a ae86dc weigh in day if we could find a good venue and enough people were keen.
it'd be a good excuse to get everyone together for a beer, bbq, and a yarn.

im sure 60sec na is doable...not cheap but doable....the forged civic is pretty close to that...but it seems fairly mega dollar by comparison.

im pretty sure a 3s is going to be heavier than a 4age, might have to run some ballast to get your car back closer to 50/50...i can get to 50/50 with 40kg of ballast in the spare wheel well, but i'm sticking with lighter over perfect distribution for now

Everything is doable with the right amount of money lol. Got down to a 64 last time on street tyres so hopefully some new semis would help but don't think a 60 is on the cards any time soon. Move your battery to the boot, might help your distribution a little :P

I'll use any excuse for a gatho with beers and a bbq mate! :)

Battery is already in the most rear passenger side corner to get weight as close to 50/50 as possible...Ps. My diagonal cornerweights are exactly 50:50

Yeah the only problem I have with most meets is that my car is track only so has to be trailered....but I'd love to see more people at the track....the sound of screaming 4age's thrashing qr ftw

Hey guys,

Had another round at QR on the weekend, now with active aero and a welded diff. managed to drop 1.17 seconds off my previous best down to a 66.32 so i'm stoked!! the car now out corners some very heavy hitters so i cant wait to get it back on track. and for those playing at home I'm still running a bog stock 88kw (when new) bigport 4age, stock jdm forged exhaust manifold, stock cams, no mods what so ever. And still had to back off for the likes of a supercharged NSX and a heavy hitting worked VE SS. bring on the next track day!
