hi guys,

just replacing an engine and realised i dont have a clutch alligning tool was wondering if anyone around here has one i can borrow.........

kinda need it asap as in now........

any help would be great.

was gonna say u could borrow mu eyecrometer it is prety acurate

Clutch alighnment tools are for tools, cause they never work...... Always lined it up by eye....

Eyecrometer + set of finger gauges > aligning tool.

yup, even easier if you get some calipers and just make sure the clutch plate is the same distance to the outside edge of the flywheel face all the way around.

true that its how i do every clutch i have ever done, if the gearbox don't fit its not correct try again

was only cos i was doing this by myself and the gearbox was still in the car and didnt want to dick arround putting the engine in and out and potentially damaging my leads/dizzy as it is a 20v in an 86.......

i cut my input shaft off the many gearboxs i have killed, best alignment tool

eyecrometer is fine... but when an alignment tool cost me $2, i thought why not, just makes it that little bit easier
