So after selling the bottomless pit that was Dicey the AE71, I found myself with a L200 Mira that I got for cheap. Only problem was a corroded transfer pipe, which was cheap to replace anyways.

Complete stocker at first, but couldn't stand it for long.

Interior: - Omori 10,000RPM Tacho
- Omori Oil / Water Temperature Gauge
- Nardi Deep Corn Wheel
- Rainbow Dildo Shifter
- Some Pioneer audio player

Currently modifying the rails to suit new seats. Got them from a Mazda RX7 S6, so should be nice and comfy.

Also got some new wheels comming. Think they are 13" x 6", but might be 6.5" . . . probably going to have troubles fitting them without a good flare

And would like to get a new exhaust with twin tips out the back, but that will come in all good time

Will get pictures when I've fitted up the seats, or when I can be bothered

Cheers Fusion

haha me and marv were wondering about this, what does it rev to?

Fusion
10th May 2010, 10:53 PM
Well got it to roughly 7500 - 8000RPM when me and Javal installed it . . . might of gone higher, but I was a little worried haha

Revs pretty well on the street when I'm driving it

Only really installed it because I had it lying around . . .didn't actually think I would get near 10,000 haha

tyres available in AUS for 13" are 155/65, 165/55 (http://www.nankangtyres.com.au/tyre4/xr-611.php) and 175/50 (http://www.nankangtyres.com.au/tyre42/as-1.php)

i think nankang do all of the above. 155/65 is a bit big though. 155/60 are available in japan and would be the best size, if they weren't so exxy to get over. they're also make advan AD07 in 155/60 :P

i also ran some numbers through a piston speed calculator, and these things could theoretically hit about 9,500RPM within the old 4000FPS piston speed rule. i say theoretically as the valvetrain would probably shit itself before then haha.

i have a 8,000rpm omori tacho... but i dont think these an option for 3cyl or are these 4???

ill-minded
11th May 2010, 04:23 AM
all 3 bangers. i have a feeling the tacho may be reading under by 1/4 (unless they've accounted for this already). this would put it at about 10,000RPM haha

I have 165 55 on 6" and they are shit. Get some Advan Neova's from japan in 155 60.

Funnily enough thats another reason why I used it. It has the option for 3, 4 and 6. It idles at around 1,100 RPM and sits on around 2,000 RPM on cold start so we assumed it was correct

Never again.

Fusion

Can't remeber to be honest haha I just know I didn't want to push it any higher, generally only go up to about 5 - 6000 RPM on the streets when overtaking

Rims arrived

Found some Yokohama semi slicks in 175/50 for $200, think they were the A008 or something, but its just to much for what this car is I personally think. Probably just settle for normal grip road tyre Yokohama for $150 haha

Cheers Fusion

175 is HUGEEEE. Rims are hot, what specs?

Dude, I rape cars, and I am scared to rev this high, the limiter is stupidly high on these.

13 x 6.5, don't know about the offset. Going to test fit them today. If they are to wide I have consided the idea of selling them, although I'd rather see if I can haha

Yes 175 is huge, but its either that or 155/65. I looked into getting tyres from Japan, but its just going to be very expensive.

If you reckon the 155/65 would be better over the 175, please tell me. I don't have any experince when it comes to 13" tyres

Tyres are slim for 13" in Australia haha

Oooo, nice find. However thats the problem. Turbo Mira's can cost alot. They can range from needing work 3,500 up to 7,000 in mint condition. I'd personally rather buy a silvia or alike for that kind of money.

Did some work on it today getting all the wheel arches cleaned up. Looks alot nicer to work with now.

Will get some pictures up on Saturday when the old man gets home with the camera

I don't know how them tires are going to go under the guards... Picsss

Fusion
19th May 2010, 06:21 PM
Yes I'm slack, things have kind of halted on this at the moment as family stuff has come up. Got to put a little money in another direction thats more needed.

Also contemplating not using the wheels . . as it will be interesting to get them inside the guards without big metal work flarage or bolt on flares. So holding off on that front aswell.

Will get pictures when I can be bothered / get time to wash the poor girl haha

Little update.

Dad's taking the car to his workshop tomorrow and is hoping to get the seat rails made up for the RX7 seats. Little bit of modfying to do, but should be good in the end.

Bought some 13 x 6 rims as the 6.5 really do sit out a little to much, and I'm a chicken haha

They are multispoke rims with a polished lip. Thinking of getting the spokes powdercoated some bright colour (blue, green or orange) and leaving the lip polished.

Also decided to get 175/50 Yokohamas from England. Want to stick with a sensible tyre and thats pretty much the only choice I have.

Also got a Buddy Club water temp adaptor and modified sump for the Oil / Water tempreature guage that I will install when I get a tune / service done.

So alot going on for it, and yet not alot happening haha

Cheers Fusion

apparently you can get 145/60R13 hankook optimo k715 locally. i'd try looking into that.

Fusion
4th June 2010, 12:50 AM
Yeah just heard that myself. Although I asked a stocker of hankook just today about tyres and he said the nearest he could get was like 185 profile.

Will try another place tomorrow though

I've tried about 8 to 10 different sources now and 155 . 60 from Japan is looking to be around 1000 and 175 50 from England is around 600

sly1300
6th June 2010, 07:33 PM
used tyre mart at wingfield?

had all sorts of skinny and lowish profiled 13s and 14s last time i was there.
just gotta go for a hunt thru the tyre racks

Ah ok, cheers Marvis.

Didn't you say that the tyres handle a bit shitty in that profile though? I don't mind going bigger if it means they are going to handle a bit better haha. And yeah it will be abouit 200 cheaper going that profile haha

Cheers Ross

7th June 2010, 10:20 PM
should handle fine. i think the only reason they sucked was cause they kept rubbing on the rear guards even after rolling them out heaps

So . . long time no update

Got some Yokohama's from England in the "Mini" size. They look like they should be pretty sweet.

Fitted the RX7 seat and it sits to high . . . damn.

And now the engine is playing up. Overheats when sitting in traffic, unless i keep the rev's up. Yet I loose no coolant or oil and have no milkshake going on. Going to take it into the mechanics pretty soon. Just need some time off work besides a Sunday
