Well this is my Silvia, I've put white LED parkers in it now so it doesn't look as silly when the headlights are on (8000k HIDs). The interior is currently being retrimmed in Bride material to match the seats. Got to take some decent photos of it soon. Wheels are 15x9 -2 rear and 15x8.5 -1 front SSR Formula Mesh. I bought them when I lived in Japan then restored them when I came back to oz.

It's really a surprise to see an S13 done like this in Australia.. Everyone usually rocks HELLA FLUSH 17's+ so boring, I only know of a few done in 15's etc.

How have you found it to slide compared to the previous sizes? (i forgot what they were, 16's/17's?)

My plan with the tyres was to go smaller in size but go up in quality for around the same price. I ran 255/40R17 on 17x9 +20 on the rear and 215/45R17 on 17x9+12 before. But the tyres were in the lowish end range for sports tyres, I ran some kind of Khumos on the front before and also Federal SS595 before that.
Now I'm running the top and next from the top Dunlops on there. I've not been to the track since I've changed the wheels but the car feels as grippy as it did before really. The 205/55R15s on the front are hardly a tall profile and they are slightly stretched and a decent construction so yeah :).

Full specs of the car are:

Yeah the 15s was something I'd been planning on doing since I lived in Japan 2 years ago, in fact I bought the wheels when I was living in Japan with that plan in mind.
I just didn't get the wheels restored and on the car until recently.
I've seen a few other people building up S13s with 15s on them recently too, hopefully it doesn't become too popular lol!

haha, if you are refering to the seans silver s13.
i built those meshies for my car and when my meisters popped up for sale i convinced him to put the meshies on his car.

although the response he has gotton i dont think too many people will do it. personal preferance i think.

but after parking next to it at work i think i now want 14s.

i thought the rea tyre size was a bit gay, but i kinda understand why you need them a little bit bigger. had some 80% 185/55R15s here, thought they would be alright to do a bit of blazing with.... when swapping wheels i never stopped to think how much the rolling diameter had changed for 215/45R17. exhaust guts out over tiny bumps (was kinda cool at night). id consider running some 5stud ssr 15/16" meshies but they are a little expenive to buy in ~9" compared to 17s. cant really justifiy the price.

I didn't get any when I did the ones on this car, but i did get a very small one on my 180sx. Probably because I used a hammer and dolly to do most of the arches on this car, and a pipe to do them on the 180sx. The pipe worked well and was quick but it's pushing more than bending I suppose. Makes sense in my head anyways hahaha.

Front lip is OEM yeah? What is it made of? I'm thinking one might nearly adapt to an R31 bar if its a bit flexible. I'm pretty sure I've seen one adapted to a series 3 R31 bar actually.

Yeah the lip, skirts and rear pods are Nissan OEM and all plastic. Pretty rare that front lip, however you can get hold of copies in FRP off Yahoo! auctions which are probably more suitable to cutting up/,modding etc.

I love this S13! this is exactly why i run 15' meshies aswell. i've seen enough 17's on S13's to last a lifetime but its always fun to see a car that does the other thing.
