It's still got the stock (very poo) RB20E in it. I'm probably going to leave it as is until something major fails, then maybe drop in an RB25DET.

haha! yeah that grill is pretty in-your-face. It's actually got a two-tone B&W paint job, it's not just a black bonnet. :P

Personally, I like the two-tone black and white paint, they look so bland and 'home-appliance-like' just white.

I've gotta get some proper photos of the interior and stuff soon too...

biggo - nah I didn't get the wheels with it. It's currently rolling around on steelies. lol. Looks pretty ghetto.

Marvis - To be honest, I'd be happy with any DOHC RBxxDET engine hey, ....I just don't know what's involved in putting any of them into this car. I'm guessing it's the same process as putting one into an R31? Seeing as they're pretty much identical under all the sheet metal. I'll have to read up about this a bit more 'cos I'm a n00b when it comes to R31's and stuff.

P.S - I'm working in Brisbane full time now so I don't have time to call you babe. hahahaha. <3

I found out the other day this car has automatic headlights that switch on when you go into dark areas. The light switch / indicator stalk has most of the writing rubbed off so I didn't know until I drove into a tunnel. I must've bumped the switch onto automatic or something a few days beforehand.0h-s0-dope! haha.

Yeah Brendan, I sold the 86 about 2 months ago.

Here are some pics from when the previous owner owned it.....it's basically the same now, minus the stickers, rims, hang ring, oil cooler, cracked windscreen, retarded windscreen wiper and rust.

The rear coilovers are as low as they go unfortunately. I need to do some more rear guard work so i can fit 5mm spacers, the tyres are about 3mm from metal atm. Damn those uncircular guards.

Also. I really hate that the exhaust is on the wrong side of the car, something will be done about this.

You can fix that easy.

Take a locking collar off if it's as low as it can go.

More low means more camber and you will be able to fit 5mm.

True that. wouldn't the whole spring / collar slowly adjust itself up & down if I took the locking collar out?

If I could make the rear a little bit lower it would work out awesomely too 'cos then I can drop the front to match as the front coilovers still have a bit of adjustment left. :)

You should be able to get cut to length chrome side strip from auto trim/accessories shops, if thats what you mean?

^ I need to do that too but I was referring to the sill on the driver's side. There's supposed to be a large chrome strip that runs the length of the sill but it's missing from the driver's side. If you compare the pics from the previous page you'll see what I mean. I was going to just spray it black and be done with it, but it kinda bothers me there's a piece missing so I want to do something about it. (probs cut a long, wide strip of metal and shape/polish it up.)

I've thought about that too Marv but I prefer the look of the chrome / polished trims though. That red one looks pretty gnarley.

I think they were a domestic model in NZ Mark, that's where I sourced my replacement windscreen from 'cos there were none in Aus. 'Twas the biggest headache. I really cbf organising container freighting 'cos I don't know anyone / companies that can do it. At the end of the day it's just a long, flat, polished piece of metal so it shouldn't be hard to make something up on the cheap. hehe. I'll see how I go, if not, smoothed / painted sills it is.

Boredom got the better of me at work today so I squished my car. lol.
