Hey fellas. Thought i might chuck up my newest buy.
use to see this car at westlakes car park.
came back from holiday and seen it was up for sale. i had to buy it.
so i went and bought it.
now its nothing to great atm. but its something to start with. :)

corona avante
22re 5 speed
cut falcon springs and short stroke shocks
IRS rear end!! :D
14x7 MA61's with 175/65r14
deep dish drift wheel.
dildo shifter.
central locking and power steering.

so far car is treating me good. still open wheel centre. gonna lock it.
plans to do s13 front end.
get some mint fitment happening.

oh that includes camber tops which are in good nick - they fit corona barely, you just need to file out a couple of the holes its no biggie.

100 is a very good deal, cant argue with that.... gotta make sure its base height adjustable though trust me youll be scraping the bitumen. in my first rona i didn't have height adjustable and i scraped and smashed even on imperfections on the road, had a smashed sump and crossmember. on my current car i got it as high as it goes and it scraped the slightest speed bumps etc not very practical.

so been doing some research about engine convos. jsut read i can bolt sr engine mounts in and a sr bolts straight and can keep standard gearbox??
but will prob blow box up hell quick. so i reckon a sr is on the cards once i kill the 22. lol.

really need a drift button. lol. anyone got a old one for cheap. lol.

oh and i reckon it drops a cylinder every now and then. kinda has more power sometimes, and sometimes feels like its got power band. haha. i reckon new spark plugs and spark plug leads are to come and hopefully this will fix the problem.

for a drift button, just unwind the button that's there, take the spring out then replace. alternatively, the little things on the rear seats on toyota coupe's and other cars that you lift to lower the rear seat down to get into the boot can be used as a cheap (free) button.

i use my stock button as a drift button... i just wind it out a fair bit, so it still has thread but its easy to push the button in. i find it easier to use like this. just my 2 cents....

in which case, from first resonator back run 2" under diff if possible, nice high flow muffler but pref not straight through.

yeh easy to run under diff, irs ftw. lol. and wasnt keen on straight pipes, still need back pressure.
so 2ich pipe with high flow muffler, might go some places tomoro and get some prices.

little update, got some 6kg springs in the front now got some camber tops lined up and will go in to get a weldy this week. shits coming good for once. lol.

nice, i just did my diff today... was bit of a mission as usual. on the borg warner corona live axle diffs the center is closed for some reason so you have to take it out and split it to get into the gears. putting it back in this arvo and i broke one of the shims! fuuuuuuuu-!!!!!!! i wonder if its alright to run with 1 1/2 shims lol. pretty dodgy but i got a feeling it'll be fine.

yours is irs right? pretty sure you can use celica irs ones too aswell as any rt142 irs.
finished the diff off and took it for a drive, not dodgy at all, it goes smooth, no noise at all lol... must say i am a bit surprised.
