I recently sold my KE wagon to buy this, a 1989 Toyota Crown Royal Saloon G.

It's a pretty mint bus, has done 147,000kms.

The 1UZ is an ideal motor, it pushes the Crown's near 2 tonne lard arse along decently.

Electric everything pretty much, has the Jap touch screen TV which I'm yet to figure out. The airbag suspension is pretty neat, the rear bags were replaced a few years ago so they should hopefully have a fair bit of life in them yet. Looking to get another height controller for it.

Only mods it has are 17inch Jap wheels and a decent sounding exhaust.

Really trying to hold myself back from supercharging it...

Yeah to start off with I wasn't a fan of the big grill, etc, but its grown on me a lot.

I love it, the pictures don't do the wheels justice either, though would love some fat 19's for it, or even just some better offset ones for the front.

Tasteful but not fagged out. Would have loved white centers on the rims, but eh, it's not my car.

I am a fan of it though.

Yeah, that bus is pretty nice, the Junction Produce kit is ideal, but worth a bit. Almost the cost of a supercharger kit from Bullet... :hehe:

Shit yeah, that's awesome. Grill looks alright as is, I reckon.

Japanese luxobarge > Euro luxobarge. Expect for maybe big Citroens, like the XM.

Please dont make it look like the blue one. I think it looks good as it is. there really isnt too many of them around so you dont really need to change it to be different.

Yeah definitely don't intend to kit it. If I was going to spend that amount of cash on it, it would be for a lowboost supercharger setup. I'll murder a cheap corolla but something rare like this I intend to keep clean and standard.

Drove it down to Hobart yesterday, rides beautifully. Makes light work of of highways.

i used to have one of these, nice car.

i bolted a prado towbar to the chassis and towed my ke70 to the track :DD

Serious? So a prado towbar pretty much bolts up? Do you have to cut the rear bumper at all? I've been looking for a cheapish and clean way of getting a towbar on this.

japlish

no cutting required, it sat about 10mm below the bumper.
i'm not sure if all the prado's are the same cause i just grabbed the best looking one to suit mine and it ended up being from a prado.

i then drilled 2 holes either side and used long high tensile steel bolts, make sure you put a spacer inside the chassis rail as its only a [ design and will crush a little when tightening up the bolts, i used hollow pipe.
