fucking sweet. nice colour too.

What wheels are on the back?

mayday
5th November 2010, 10:44 PM
Cheers mate, they are actually hilux 4wd rims. I was going to re drill the hubs to 4x114 but 15x8 hilux rims are cheap and easy to get hold of so it will do for now.

7th November 2010, 01:53 PM
how far back does your gearstick sit
did you have to modify/cut stuff
and
got a pic of rear coilovers or is that still in process

mayday
7th November 2010, 10:45 PM
The colour is called mid grey. Yeah the gearstick sits back a fair way but only because I recessed the firewall and sat the motor right back. If you sit the motor in the normal position with rb20 box it comes out pretty close to stock. I boxed a section around mine to give ot a bit of strenght as it came out through the floor brace.

The coilovers line up with the stock shock mounts. I just have to make some sleeves to go over the bolts.

wat made you go rb box instead of ca
strength...
also wat clutch master are you running

mayday
11th November 2010, 09:17 PM
The shifter on an RB box comes out much further forward than the CA box. I think they are pretty similar in strength. Stock AE clutch master with remote res. Finally moved it out of the carport today and washed about an inch of shit off it. Think I am going to leave it brown for now. Just got some crappy 7 inch skidders on the back at the mo. Got some 8's that should fit good with a bit of stretch.

Cheers mate, yeah little bit more done. Finished mounting the rad and cooler, fitted rear sway bar and pumped the front guards out so I could drop it to where it should be :). Also got most of the wiring sorted so shouldn't be too far off now! Can't wait to fang it.

Cheers mate. Anyone have any tricks for bleeding hydro handbrakes? Have bled it three times now but can't seem to get the last bit of air out.

Jdm-Mcc
5th November 2011, 12:59 PM
Pull the lever up, pump to floor with foot brake slowly and steady until the lever has tension behind it, then lift the lever and crack off the rear bleed nipple, repeat that till your happy

mayday
5th November 2011, 06:22 PM
Yeah have done that a few times already. I cracked it at the handbrake itself and seemed to have made it better. Cheers

crack both bleed nipples, give the handbrake the lightest pump, then let gravity do the work for 5 minutes

12th November 2011, 11:25 AM
just give it a bit more of a normal bleed, should bring the pick up point down a bit, you usually fine when you gravity bleed, youll still have an air bubble or 2 right at the slave
