Well I think everyone has been surprised by the floods throughout QLD and especially what happened yesterday up in Toowoomba.

How is everyone coping? I know there are some guys from Toowoomba on here and would assume that there are people in Brisbane that are also affected by the flooding and rain.

So let us all know how you are going and yell out if anyone needs a hand, I'm free to help if need be and I'm sure there are others on here that are willing to do the same.

Stay safe,
Timbo

i live out near QR and i got sent home at 9 this morning because the raaf base was about to be cut off, thought it was ok till the front of my house started flooding. had to dig up half of my garden to build a levy to stop the water trying to get at my hachi in the garage. didnt really bother calling ses cuz im sure they are flat out

I'd Jack the Hachi up and put it on top of old wheels or something :-( If you built a levy then the water overcomes it then shit will get crazy man!

i haven't got photos but toowong and surrounding suburbs are fucked, there's water all the way up to union street. im pretty sure i am now ae86less with the car being at the smash repairers at wacol which seems to have been swallowed up if the photos from goodna are any indication. look after yourself folks.

Left the carona at wacol station, went to work came home tuesday about 6pm,had water up to pedals(last car in carpark had floated into the bottom fence). Pushed it onto a dry bit started it up drove through water got home. Yay. Then today (been busy helping family) moved it onto the road to dry it out and the lawn mower punched a rock through the rear quarter glass. Cant complain we are ok here in our part of ipswich.

Finally back online,

We lost power at 12:37am wednesday in Auchenflower, shit has been very intense around here. Rosalie is the next suburb over.

We thought it was bad around here, but today we left the suburb for supplies by car and almost couldn't get back home, got stuck zigzagging through the backstreets of Rosalie, the place is a war zone.

Luckily we were high and dry, but the lack of power in this heat, yikes.

I will post up some pics later. I managed to get out in the Kayak and got some quick photos yesterday at the peak of the floodwater. Kinda weird having to duck to get the kayak under power lines....

Here's the bottom of our street at the peak yesterday. (Cnr Fred Schonell Dve & Mitre St)

Came up to our neighbours yard. Very lucky it didn't come higher, as it was expected to be up to our floor initially.

oh no, not nandos!

seriously though it is fucking shocking how high the water was through oxley. i know some of you guys will be familiar with wow sight and sound, the water marks are just over the top car park where the store is... and the smell out here in the western suburbs is awful.

Wacol didn't get touched, this is how the house I was staying at in Goodna went, I was downstairs, mum was upstairs (house on right of power pole).
