Hi there,

I'm in the process of finalising the installation of the new 4AGE loom + ECU inside the car but I'm not quite sure how to tackle the internal engine bay wiring as I have two positive battery terminals. Do I link the two? would that create a short? I know that the original 4KC loom and fuse box in the bay controls the head lamps etc and I obviously need that lol but I think I need to connect the other terminal for the 4AGE loom as its connected to the starter motor:gah: im very confused!

Could someone please send me in the right direction?

Cheers,

Ballyi

If ur using a standard 4age loom there will be on the 14 pin plug I think these three wires: BATT which goes directly to the battery then there's B1 and B2. From memory there white wire with a red trace and brown dots. ( on ae82 loom) U could also connect these directly to the battery or some ppl I think connect these to the positive on the coil pack. Pretty sure if u look in the tech questions it's in there lol. And the starter wire on the 4 age loom will be a think black wire with a white trace. This wire also goes to the cold start injector and the starter wire on the ke70 is also a thick black wire with a white trace that comes out of that fuse box in the engine bay. So as the ke wire is the wire that is connected to the ignition key u must hav to wire the 4age starter wire to this one. But I'm not 100% sure on this. Ive got a microtech so I havnt got a starter wire on the Microtech loom lol.

its in the tech section, you need to suply power to injectors B1 B2 and Batt on your ecu

thanks guys for your help. So I can cut the end off the 4AGE loom and connect the starter motor wire from the original loom?

As for the ecu I know I have to connect the batt, b1 and +b on the 14 pin plug.
Igt and bf on the 10pin plug also need power I was told. Is this correct?

Yeah give that ago with the starter wires also make sure u got a thick wire goin from the battery to the starter motor and a thick earth from the block somewhere to the car. If it kicks over then use done something write haha. And as for the other wires on the 10 pin plug if u know wat computer u got google for the schematic and it's pretty easy to understand wat goes where.
