I am going to regret this, I don't want to sell it, but I need the money, and it's in the road.
For sale, we have one 1979 Series 2 MX32 Cressida. In beige/off white (was beige once, 30yrs later its off white) It has a genuine 135,000kms on the clock, Interior is in very good condition as is most of the chrome trim.
I had started to prepare it for paint, rust repairs (4 SMALL spots boot lid, bottom corner N/S rear 1/4, top O/S corner of windscreen, and the worst, and hardest to repair, is in the N/S corner on the windscreen but on the inside) then I remembered I hate doing it, and stopped. It has since sat for over a year. I had started to shave the bumpers, and delete the rear tow hook, and exhaust scallop, makes it look like shit, won't take much to fix (bumpers can still be bought new, quoted $650 genuine a while ago) Some panels are in primer, and all external chrome trim has been removed (properly) is in good nic, in the car.
There is a leak from the transmission pan, nothing major, but enough to be irritating. At some point in time, the 4M has been overheated, as a result the head was reco'd 5 yrs ago, but the car has not been driven since 2006 (rego last expired on the 20th january 2007, but the manifold is warped, it does seal with 2 gaskets, but I would replace it. I do have the standard exhaust, though it is in poor condition, something else I would replace.
At the moment it isn't rolling, the N/S front suspension was removed for mock up on my 86 (sorting wheel clearance out) As a consequence it will need a new rotor on the side. Will get it rolling prior to sale.
The car drives and stops beautifully, and can be steered with your pinky (no shit, the steering is that light)
It is my baby, and I can't believe I am doing this, but I am.
I want more, i Know I won't get it, so I am asking $600 no offers, no swaps, just $600 square. If you don't want to pay that price for it, don't buy it, don't make an offer, don't even make a comment.
