I used citrus goo remover to soften up the black shit. Kept it well soaked for about 10 minutes and was able to peel large bits off.

Nice find.

Heat Gun and patience.

Works for me too and cheapest option.

If the paint is original it shouldn't peel.

I have put on new steering wheel, ajps handbrake button, new rack ends, gave the 4ac some fresh fluids all round and had many the fun in her.
Today I picked up panels, and bonnet for flat front conversion, fender mirrors (at no cost :D), ae71 manual pedal box and purchased a pair of 15x7.5 +5offset Longchamps with tires for a price way too cheap to turn down!!!

I just jacked her ass up for the first time properly to find out which of the bushings i'll replace first, to be greated by red poly bushes for the whole rear end!! in exception for the sway bar bushes :D WINN!!!
I do believe the time has come to chop these springos, coilovers will be a while off unfortunately :(

UPdate: I cut the springs the other day, Not ridiculously low, just good low :)
And yesterday I put my xt130lca's in with fresh nolathanes and fresh ball joints, new tie rod ends and extra lock spacer. So happy with how much it has tightened up the steering. So to celebrate I took it for a drive at my local "skidpan" lastnight after a shower of rain and was cheered on by two eshlads sipping goldies. Had an absolute blast/as much fun as you can have with a auto 4ac :P

Here's what she's looking like atm. Commy weekend skid spec wheels on back will be gone with in next few weeks. It really does look plenty ridiculous with the difference in width's of the wheels when you are behind it.

I also have a photo I just took of my cats bunkin!

My car is still alive and is finally starting to get some love again. Lastnight I picked myself up some Jdm Brakes and 86 struts with unknown adjustable shocks and unknown rated rsr springs. Regardless it will be better than choppies with farked shocks. Have to get myself some new rotors before I put it all in to because the rotors I got have definitely out lived there lives. I took 2 photos on the way home from work today for you all because i had just bathed her :)
