as i am buying a KE70 mid next week, i want to know what sort of wheels i should get
I want something 14x8 or 9, i'm thinking of SSR mk1's i think they are..
but would something of that size fit without much hassle or should i look for something else?

14X8 should be alright depending on tyre size, ride height and offset (I'd be going for something very close to 0). I personally wouln't go 9's.

I run 14X7 +2 on my AE71 and I'm pretty happy with that size.

i used to run 15x7.5+-0 and that was pretty ideal for standard guards

9 is seriously not worth the drama at all unless your making decent power and you want more rear grip

MA61's are perfect, and usually pretty easy to get hold of.

14x8 -10 hurricanes, AJPS sell em, $1000 a set brand new which is pretty fucking cheap compared to jap rims. just needs a roll on the front and rear to fit, and looks gang.

I got 15x8 0- offset And had to heavily roll rear guards. But 14x 8 depending on tyres should be okay.how low is the car tho?

how did you need a heavy roll? i have 14x8 -+0 on the rear with standard guards running 175/65 and the car is fairly low. all ive done is just beat the guard lip

I run 15x8 +0 And they sit like 4cm out from the guard. Getting guards rolled soon, fucking cool though

How the FUCK do you know you've got to flare the guards HEAPS if you don't even know the offset.

Cause the wheels are on the car now. i tested it with some, err, lets say "husky" friends sitting on the boot to give me an idea, and the guards were sitting on the tyres.

I see. Please don't just slam the rear

starrz

oh god no. i meant just slam it on its ass, not JUST slam the rear. luckily, last time i checked, a KE70 wasn't a commonwhore. haha

15 x 8 -12 you need to modify the guards a fair bit.

i spent a good month on calculations before i got my wheels and they aren't even my final set i'm getting.

Measure twice cut once!. i dont agree with throwing some unknown wheels on and just say yeah why not.... but each to their own

I only got these cause i bought these off a friend, they fit well in his AE86. and they didnt cost me too much at all. i need to cut out the rear guards anyway due to really bad rust holes.
