Still trying to get to the bottom of another issue without putting the car out of action as I need it.
What sort of fuel usage figures do you guys get,
On a good hard run I got 300km for 30ltrs at the pump, so thats a Litre of fuel for every 10km

So that is 10 litres per 100km.

Not too bad for going hard.

You could get it down to 6L/100km if cruising on the highway using very little throttle.

I get about 350 - 370km to a full tank. depending on how heavy my right foot is during that period. I've got a smallport 16v with a standard adm ecu.

A good healthy running 4age should get around 7.2 to 7.8 litres per 100 k's city driving
with a bit of thrashing too and around 6.6 to 7 litres per 100 k's highway cruising.

I think you'll find that if you get 500 - 550 km out of $45, your economy is somewhat better than 10l/100 km...

4ac, stock except for heaps of timing gets me 9.5-10l/100km (bp ultimate)

4age being efi should get better than this.

yeah could be i did avoid mathsfor a reason, it ends up with about 39 litres down here for $45 so one of u guys can figure it out

39 / 5.25 = 7.42l per 100kms

Mine's right around 10 per 100 (just over 10 if I'm having fun), but I know I've got fuel system "issues".

Yes people

Like I said the mileage I gave is checked and measured on
my brother's AE82 4age Corolla recently litres per 100km's.
$45 doesn't mean much as prices vary from servo to servo,
litres per 100km is the right way to measure.
The best way to do this is to fill your fuel tank right to the filler brim/lip,
yes you might look like an idiot squeezing the last few cents worth
of juice in. After this you drive for 100 k's or whatever you like
then refill to the same filler brim/lip again, then you get your litres & k's
do your maths then you get fuel consumption per 100 km's.

hahahaha I always fill to the brim, squeeze the last drops out and I have never thought twice about looking silly.
