hey all
got a wheel alignment done last night
thought id take some of the settings ive seen on here in. i decided to go with

caster-stock rods maxed out: +3
toe: 1mm out over all
camber-non adjustable(rona arms): -1.3
thats with 8kg adjustable coilovers

and it wasnt bad, so i first thought till i slid the first corner, the first half of the corner was great then it just wanted to straighten up strait away:S

im guessing if i run a little less castor this will solve the problem??

what would be the best set up in my case for drift?

any help would be exellent!

thank you
jarrad

Wait untill it rains next time, or go harder.

1mm toe-out is up to opinion. I would go zero toe.

dose 1mm out make it real twitchy?

i run similar setup to that (-2.5 camber, 1mm toe out, +2 degrees castor) and dont have any of those problems. what is the rest of your suspension setup like? swaybars etc?

probably cos youre running 35kw lol, what do you meen by stratening up? understeering or not continuing a slide, if its the 2nd option get some smaller tires like 155 50 14s if its the first option lAck of camber will do it espacialy cos you have re001s on front(unless youre running 40psi in them lol!

real funny eddie. wer not all rich pannel beaters like you lol.
well i checked my tyre pressures.. they wer all over the shop its not as bad so im getting another wheel alignment tuesday and going to bring my castor back to 2.. they think that should fix it.

thanks all

Your car straightens up after a slide? doesnt sound like a problem with a wheel alignment problem to me.. think about it

lol thats what it sounds like but its not how i ment it....it wants to straiten up as soon as ive started haha but i had wack pressures in my tyres 48 in one front n 34 in the other front :S so that has pretty much fixed the problem lol

dose 1mm out make it real twitchy?

1mm doesnt make it REAL twitchy just more responsive to steering imputs.

now 6mm toe out on the other hand (4mm each side) is twitchy ;) and yes ive run that before.

castor makes the wheels 'return to centre' quicker. so if ur not used to it may feel like it wants to stop drifting, or straighten up.

i run max castor, sigma arms, and close to neutral toe. just need to get used to it reallly. also tyre pressure, i have 185/60/14 eagle F1's running 32PSI and wotever at the back running 40PSI. works for me.

after doing a tape measure wheel alignment on my car it still looks like its got visible tow out, yet the tape measure begs to differ saying it has neutral.
i might just be crazy or i might just be crap at useing a tape measure, but yeah, will camber make a car look liek it has toe out? lol

dw im getin a proper alignment done soon.

nothing wrong with tape measure method lol. just always do it several times to make sure measurement is spot on.

but yes... most cars with track and camber look like they are toe ing out

Toe out is win. My tires don't like it though.
