I love your car man, i wish i got my hachi before i got my licence, so i could do something like that, but i need my car every day, so any mods i do must be done and drivable in one night....

Mods still happen to my car, but slowely...

I think what you are doing with your hachi is very tasteful and sensible, i love it

slide86
24th March 2005, 08:52 PM
thanks man really appreciate it, comments like that really make it worth while http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

cannot wait until its finished, i forgot to add that quad throttle bodies are another mod on the way sometime soon (next couple of months)

loving the spec! the D1 spec that is.

just a question on the new exhaust.

you said you had it going under the diff.

so does this mean that you will never be taking the rear alxe out ever again

OR

does the pipe have a removable section. (like can you take the rear part off and then have access to the diff housing).

sorry i'm just a little confused as to how it works http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/wink.gif

nice ride

there is a flange just b4 the diff so whenever i need to drop the diff or anything around there.

unbolt the flange and the pipe at the back comes off

Wicked car man! Do you drive on the street?

Would the 2-way be noticable on the streets to cops other than in car parks? I want a daily driven drift car and I'm not sure if i want a 1.5 or a 2 way yet.

mattysshop

see you have got some pics of me in your car? ha ha ha it's all good..

dale - i have a TRD 2 way, works fine..the only time an lsd work is when it's under load..2 way means that it does the same under load accelerating, and decelerating..1.5 way means great acceleration, but only a little deceleration..

I know how they work http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif

I know that they are very noticable in car parks and I was just curious as to how noticable they are on the street?

i had mine chatter the tyres a little with my GZE doing u turns, with some new rubber..used to cherp and chatter a tiny bit, but only if i'm actually accelerating..if just turning it's fine..most cars screetch the wheels in car parks anyway, so i wouldn't worry about it much http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

yeah...most cops are pretty oblivious as to whats going on around them anyway...so they probably won't notice http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif but better to be safe than sorry. For street do you recommend 1.5 or 2? and Kaaz or TRD?

I've helped my friend put those fender braces in on his AE86 back in the day.

Theyre a hassle to do the front parts. You have to drill into the chasis and have someone with small enuf hands to reach a bolt into the newly drilled holes.

dli converter sits under behind the headlight, probobly not the best spot as its been sealed back up because of a incident with it sitting there in the previous car. although there wasnt many other places to put it when i put it in, and the loom is made to fit there like that.

so i have to know one thing..................when u started on ur sprinter did u have any knowledge on how to modify a car urself?.............and how many heartaches were their in the time u were making it drift ready?

i need some reassuring that its gonna work when it eventually happens http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif
