yeah, i love it!!! its just so much more fun than driving 400m in a straight line... imo, plus out of every sport in the world, Drift cars look the best, then the japanese GT series, then the world rally cars (tarmac spec)

i also love track work, even if im not hanging the tail out, mountain roads and race tracks on their own, in a good handling car make me very happy

yeah i cant wait until my hachi is finished..

sometimes its frustrating walking outside to see your hachi parked up in the garage or backyard because of the 'next' reason why it cant be on the road, but its all worth it when you end up with the result you wanted ^-^

I first found out about drifting back in about '98... I am interested in it... just not all that passionate about it. I perfer other motorsports.

That being said, drifting is still a hell of a lot of fun http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

too many people "in the scene" think that if you own an AE86 it automatically means you're a drifter... maybe I should get a sticker that says "My name is NOT Takumi".

although getting the car sideways in the chicanes at Winton while an R34 V Spec II is chasing you is pretty good fun

quick question... can you enter a track car (like perspex windows, non street tyres, exhaust out the side of the car, spits flames when on and off throttle etc) as a privateer in the drift comps? I can remove all the noodlebox sponsorship decals.

mr2drift

as far as i know yes you can... go for it would be HOT

how would I have to change the suspension setup? way stiffer I guess and more camber for better grip on lock?

I suck at the drifting though, and would be pretty funny to see a semi prepped track car get owned by a stock silvia. wish you got points for sticking to a line and "grip driving" http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif

moved to general discussions... this isnt an off topic thread http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/dry.gif

anyway,
yeah, im sick of people yelling "sprinter, you must be a sick drifter"
because i prefer track work and mountain runs, i want to try my hand at drifting but people need to realise sprinters are awesome at other things too!

just my 2c
