Hi i'm Neil.... and i'm an alcoholic.

Oh, wrong forum. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/ohmy.gif

I'm one of the guys that run Autoshop.com.au. I just do the website side of things.

I have a 91 canary yellow toyota camry with a replaced dash as the other one broke. It has some aftermarket speakers and a stock CD player out of a 2003 lancer. It has a shamrock sticker on the back, as someone pulled a mean joke on me http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/sad.gif. It has stock suspension and i'm quite sure the shock absorbers are gone. I've stuck with the stock air filter, steering and exhaust. I'm going for a complete standard, unperformance look and feel. A total sleeper. Infact, sometimes the camry doesn't wake up. I found a pink lighter on the back seat the other day, it must left there by a cute chickie during the rustling. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/wink.gif http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif

I also have a 89 black MK3 twin turbo toyota supra. Its pretty cool too.

TOYOTA POWAH!!

I'm 20 turning 21 in September. Gives you guys enough time to save up for a nice pressie. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif

Enough of my rambling. Maybe see you guys out cruising, or at the Autosalon shows.

Ciao for now.

Neil

Evening... my name's Shan. I live in melbourne, and I'm 24. I have a 1983 Sprinter, its a rusty pile of nuts n bolts, and it holds a CA18DET inside. Its my track car, and as such spends most of its time in workshops or around Philip Island or Winton. Reason I bought it... well... it cost me $650 to buy and i'd feel a lot worse crashing my Skyline on the track. As a bonus lots of workshops and wreckers in Melbourne have parts n tuning knowledge of the car from back in the day. Why did I put a CA18DET in it? Its got a good power for its capacity, plenty of aftermarket bits available, and one of the stronger stock gearboxes. I can also remap CA18 and RB20 ECU's so it fits me perfectly as I can do most of my own tuning.

I also own an R32 Skyline (which is my pride n joy) and an A31 Ceffy (which resides in Sydney for when I come back home on holidays and for my dad to use on weekends).

I'm also the tech admin for Skylines Australia (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums) and I work for J-Spec Imports (http://www.j-spec.com.au/list) which a couple of guys on toymods (and possibly this forum) have imported Trueno's thru. If you see an AE86 on our mailing list, i've most probably got something to do with it. Oh and I also started team super fun happy sliders with a couple of others... and it seems some of you guys like our logo too http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif

ahh so Anthony's asianautos2004 on yahoo http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif hehe cool... nice buy. We actually had that car negociated at 500,000 Yen (but none of our clients wanted it)... then the bidding went higher and he figured he'd let it keep going. 660,000 Yen's still a good price though.

I dont own a AE86, but i love them and i guess i own the next sorta thing similar to it, which is a AE71. You might have seen it around. Its fairly standard at the moment with only Pedders sports ryder suspension and a set of rims, but that will be changing in the nearish future to coilover front, 4age etc. I plan to drift it eventually but with my income at the moment its not going to be the easiest thing to achieve.

Hey Justin, hey everyone, my name's Daniel, I've owned an aus-spec ae86 for a couple of years and live right at the top of Mt Nebo http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/wink.gif in Brisbane. As you can imagine, driving is my passion. Once my half-completed 4agte and streeter/vertex/origin lab/whatever kit move from my garage floor to my car I'll be cramming in as wheel time as possible in between my engineering/commerce dual degree.

I'll post some pics and things of my car when it gets nearer to completion, don't wanna get ahead of myself.

Nice to meet you all... Cheers

heya all im Andrew from South Australia and i have a Yellow Aus spec 86 but it (as of a few weeks ago, thanks to SteveAE86 and Japanese Motorsport for that) has a 4AG hundy kW and a few other mods, most of which were done by the previous owner. i love my hachi but i also love ALL cars and try not to descriminate but yeah AE86s are my passion and while i will someday lose mine i will never forget it.

As for the user name, im caught between grip and drift so i thought id combine the 2 and came up with GRIFT, so there http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif

im always up for a drive through the hills so hopefully i'll have a chance to drive with some other hachis soon. take it easy y'all.

Hey Guys

Thought I should do the right thing and do an intro as well, Im Jon I am based in Adealide, Mt Barker to be precise which is about 40kms East of Adelaide, I own several businesses which include Rotaflo, a company which manufactures mufflers specifically for Rotary Powered vehicles, we send these mufflers all over the world and have gained some amazing results with our mufflers, including recently having made 788 RWHP in a 20B powered vehicle with full exhaust system @ 95dbl, in my knowledge no one else in the world has achieved this result.
the second business is Raceflo, Raceflo also makes mufflers but for piston powered cars, but as well as making mufflers we also fabricate custom inlet and Turbo manifolds as well a Brake Kits for more than 700 different makes and models, we also do suspension kits including coil over kits for the AE86 Sprinters as well as CBY flare kits and N2 TRD rear spoilers and have picked up the T3 Representative staus in Australia.
The Third Business is Carline Mt Barker, which does exhaust custom work and replacement fitting.
I also have three other businesses in the pipe line at the moment, but more on that when I can confirm the launch dates.
As far as vehicles goes, we are building the Raceflo Drift Spec AE86 which we hope will take on the big names in Australian Drift, and there is some negotiation currently under way of taking the car accross to America to compete in the American D1 Series.

I live in blackwood, SA. i have currently owned my sprinter for over 2 years now, im currently doing year 12, im 17 turning 18 in december. i have done minimal mods to mine, such are installing stereo i got for chrissy present, chucking some mags on it and desperatly trying to save enough money for a 4AGZE, LSD, coilovers, brakes etc on a crappy casual wage. Im a huge drift nut i go to most events if im not working or studying.

Hey all, I'm Nathan. I live in Brisbane. I own JDM86, which as the plate says is actually a JDM Trueno. Now before all of you jump down my throat, I know it doesn't have the Trueno front end. That is due to the guy who owned it in Chiba in JP removing it all and replacing it with Levin items as the car was a track car only. He figured that the Trueno front end would be too hard to replace if he trashed it on the track. It still has all of the relays and electricals in it for the Trueno setup. I do plan to convert it back, but I'm still getting all of the panels together. (This may take a while!)

If anyone has any Trueno panels let me know.

dori_86

Hello everyone, my names Steven, im 18, and i've been a big fan of AE86s for a couple of years now, only problem is that i don't own one, i did want one for my first car, but the prices are pretty high for one in decent condition, so i ended up buying myself a 1978 Mercedes Benz 280 CE at the start of this year, its a great car.
Anyway being the AE86 fan i am i couldn't resist joining up, hope you guys don't mind, i still hope to end up buying an AE86 some time though, most likely once i move out and have the garage to store 2 cars and some work space for it.

i'd post pics of my car, but it seems way too awkward having a 'My Mercedes' thread among a whole page of 'My hachi' threads, hehe

Hi my name is Jarrod i live in Adelaide. I own an '86 s4 RX7 Infini. I love my car but am in the process of maybe selling it off. I love drift, grip, rally anything fast. I hope you's don't mind a rotor owner here but i also love high rev piston engines. Anything with a high pitch exhaust note is wild. Am in the search for a hachi if i sell my car soon enough for a wild balanced street machine.

Hey Jarrod, I wosto be a rotary owner for years, then had to move to sydney and sell it.

I'm at japan looking for one http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif , but selling an rx7 for a sprinter?? Series 4's are great cars to drift, you just need the right suspension adjustments.

im 17, and have always been interested in drifting. I really wanted an Ae86 for my first car, but it really wasnt in the cards. I looked for about 3 months and couldnt find a thing... So i finally gave up and bought a prelude, which i dont regret, but i still wanted a sprinter.

Anyway, i bought my corolla a few days ago for a awesome price. And i hope to turn it into a nice little drifter.

i own a ADM sprinter which runs a 1ggte motor and quite a few other goodies as well. i'm 23 and i've been into sprinters now for quite a few years.

at the moment the car is off the road as i'm rebuilding my motor for some serious horsepower. i dont want to disclose too much as i've been writing a huge worklog on my cars progress.

I live in Canberra which kinda sucks as there's not many ae86 owners here http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/sad.gif

What is the Hachi rule on my warning bell should i leave it connected?
I live in Albury Wodonga and dont know any other Hachi owners, so contact me i if you live near and want to get together.
Im not a drifter yet, but am learning, my friends all have Celica's and race at night
Im off to Winton on the weekend to watch the drifting so say hello if you see a red and black Hachi Roku.

Hey my names Damien.

I don't have a Sprinter (yet) But I've wanted one since my mat took me for a drive in his GZE powered sprinter. I'd never been in a car that went around a roundabout so fast.

Also when Justin (jusdrifn) took me for a spin in his and showed me how easily a 4age can kill a 3.8 or 4.0L 6.

Any ways, I'm on the hunt for a cheap Sprinter http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif I currently drive a 94 Corolla which is slow and boring.

Any ways, if you pop a 4AGE / 4AGZE and there's no block damage send it my way. I'm an engine builder and I'll be f***ed if I'm paying work inflated prices for an engine....

I hope some of that made sense. Peace.

i dunno if i have done a proper introduction..?? for those of you who don't know me..

my name is Mathew (matty) i've just turned 20 and very very much into my cars..weather it be working on my gemmie (sold now) the 86, or my many mates Lexus/skylines/180sx/200sx anything i enjoy doing anything i can from putting NOs on a MK2 escort, to rewiring headlights!?, engine rebuilds etc etc.. i get my hands into everything.. only way i learn.. i have a boring office desk job for GE money, and used to drive a 77 yellow RA28 mustang celica..then my mate built a blue 4age adm 86 (Lendro's) one drive and i was hooked.. no questions, it was time for the celica to move on.. so i bought my JDM 86 in november 03 stock as a rock (stock JDM is still good http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif ) you can obviously see the transformation into todays beast! i'd like to say i have done it all myself, but i would be lying, i personally have done most of the work, but the mates i have are most of the time very helpfull, and would like to thank them heaps for helping me out when i have had trouble..any way back to me..ummmm thats it basicly...

G'day, My names Aaron as the user name suggests I drive a starion.....or that probably should be drove a starion as I only got to drive it home. where its been sitting in the garage for the past 6 mouths due to a few issues......i.e...slipping clutch, blown turbo seals, cracked downpipe, dead alternator, and a stuffed vac advance unit. I've fixed the turbo seals, downpipe and vac advance though. I've big plans for it just need to find time to work on it. here a sample pic of it covered in dust. this was just me working out how much clearance i'll have.

Heres a better pic of when i went to pick it up from the guy.
Here you can see the crappy paint on the bonnet

Hi everybody,

A little bout myself
My name is Quoc, 22 years old and a live on the other side of the world, The Netherland. I recently bought a black AE86. I;m very excited about it, cause the AE86 is truly an ICON for the driftcars http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif It was always a dream to own one levin or trueno. And now I finally have one http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif And these hachi's are very very hard to get one here in the Netherlands.
Furthermore, I'm still studying, just have to graduate. Fan of driftcars, jap cars and fast cars http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

The car:

Well this is it:

http://www.xs4all.nl/~qltruong/Share/New/Corrolla1.jpg
http://www.xs4all.nl/~qltruong/Share/New/Corrolla2.jpg
http://www.xs4all.nl/~qltruong/Share/New/sunset.jpg

It;s a GT Twin-cam.
According to the display it has run 350k km. But according to the seller it has a new engine with 90k. And I've to say... it runs very very smoothly... no weird sounds around the engine. d:)b
It does has somewhat rust on the rear end... but hey, it's a car build 1984! So i have to work on this.
Nice tires, good behaviour in the corners and a lot quicker than i'm used to. Slightly lowered, apparently stronger/ more progressive shocks. And original toyota spoilers.. yeeeeeaaah

My daily car and used-to-be project http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif
I also have 2 Toyota Starlets EP71. One of them was a project to custom convert this 2E engine to turbo engine. With help and with parts of my friends we started in Januari. (the parts were from a different brand actually:P, but hey... it works for me) The progress was about 60%. I already had every part i needed to build it in. Including a lasercut metal head gasket to lower the compression (if i'm saying this correctly http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif ) I even got my EP71 Turbo S bodykit from japan. And alot of other stuff.

A short list of my stuff i've done to my daily car in prep for the conversion:
- lowering springs -40mm
- GAB front swaybar
- Yellow Koni Sports shock front and rear
- Turbo S OEM front strutbar
- Cusco Camberplates
- Cusco Lower Arm Bar
- Cusco rear strut bar
- 195/55-R13 Semperits with R5GTT PH2 rims http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif
- P7S vented brake disc system in stead of the standerd solid discs and brake calipers with Apexi brake pads. Damn, what a difference, before and after!

Already ordered, but not yet shipped
- Whiteline custom rear sway bar
- Whiteline Castor-kit
- Whiteline adjustable Panhard-rod

And had chosen not to install the full bodykit untill the conversion was finished. So it looks very standaard, but you'll be suprised bout the corner behaviours http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif It drives super with the setup i already have... it only missed the speed and torque http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

But alas, I just threw away these turbo plans as soon I saw this AE86 for sale. So I arranged a meeting on very short notice. And bought it.
I hope to learn a lot bout the AE86 in a short while, it's a bit different than the simpel carb engine with no ECU at all. I recently installed a simple open air filter that I had for the EP71.

Well this about it... A bit longer visit card... But hey, I think I've introduced myself properly this way http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif Time to sniff around in the topics http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif

Cya laterz,

Quoc / Calavera

Hey guys, Welcome. Whats with all the black Hachi's popping up all of a sudden? they arent that common here in Aus, mainly red, metallic blue, silver and some pooey brown and cat piss yellow.

Owning a Hachirusto in the Netherlands must be a challenge as well, with all the salted roads over there, or do they not do that any more?

Jup it is a heck of a challenge to find one in a rather rustfree state.
Mine does has some rust on the rear wheelarches. I have to find a professional welder to weld a set quarter panels.

And the salted roads are only when it's freezing or snowing, but other than that, a lot of rain http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/sad.gif
