As autotecnica dont have specific boss kits for sprinters, can someone tell me if another kit will fit......

like a early model celica/corolla/mr2.....

I read something on toymods before about someone using another boss and it fitted.........cant find it though

If another does fit then could u please give me the code for it...and year/model ect

...cheers.........

(and before you say get a another brand, its because I can get the autotecnica ones cheap..)

any help much appreciated.....

ae82 and 92 the same i think but these are only short generally so will mount the wheel further forward. proper ae86 boss is about 11.5 cm long

Yeh thought the AE82 was the similar one.......can you be definate about this though....... I will get a spacer made up or buy one down the track to fix the shortness problem.

I need the part code to......

-- Can anyone on here make spacers cheap.....?? I understand that they are pretty simple to make.......interested if this is possible..........

cheers.

looking at the screw holes of these it looks asif my steering wheel would suit the saas boss........although the person who sold the wheel to me sells boss kits to match and they are autotecnica ones.............autotecnica have 12 holes to match most wheels I think though

I have a Personal steering wheel and a MOMO.
The MOMO is the SAAS style and the Personal is the top style.
I have a T3 75mm extender and it has both configurations on it. Its great, i highly recommend it or one similar

Slightly OT but...are the indicator stalks a single replaceable part?

Mine has a custom shorted indicator stalk good for 10rwkw but I've got a longer boss now and would like to get an un-molestered one.

the stalk is removable (with EXTREME care) but when quick steering catches the indicator its the bracket on the switch that snaps not the actual stalk. if you want to buy just a stalk from toyota, chances are youll break the bracket trying to fit it. i know cause ive done it. i had to get a second hand ind switch assembly with stalk.

I have the saas boss kit on my sprinter with a cheapie wheel from supacheap. Model number for the sass boss kit is13-BK138XXL. As DRFT86 mentioned, it has the spacer included. Works fine for me, even has enough clearance for the indicator stalk. Have yet to hit it in moments of exitement.

In the 2005 Autotecnica Boss Kit catalogue there is one listed but is the same as the Corolla's but u need a spacer.
I used a SAAS one, which i got from Super Cheap Auto.

Cheers

sorry for the seariously long delay this forum isnt working properly for me.

-it will have a final shroud around it with maybe a few groves cut in it for looks.

- Its about 20 to 30mm longer than standard

- I chopped a sprinter or corolla steering wheel to get the guts out, I chopped the rubber off, chopped the middle out, machined it in a lathe, welded a pipe on, did the mods for the horn, made the top flange, welded the top flange on and then hooked up the horn wires and base plate. I could make one 500mm long if I wanted, but its a seriously time consuming job, I hope to never do it again.
