thanks for all the support guys, it should be registered on friday (provided i get the rwc).

Blood Child
25th July 2005, 11:12 PM
ok, i didn't get it reistered last friday cos we forgot to book the roadworthy and couldn't get one til 5.
i did, however, get everything else done: ctp, 3rd party fire and theft, corner lamp is now in and looking good thanks to hyuga.
all set to go for rego this friday anyway.

i also picked up a sprinter badge that i'm gonna stick to my grill. it's quite shiny

Blood Child
25th July 2005, 11:22 PM

also had to find a new radiator cap, radiator overflow bottle, wiper fluid bottle, front bar RH indicator bulb and wiring as there is currently no back thingy bit for it, and a new RH side mirror.

i think thats about it, but there may be more as we were fartarsing about for quite a while

hahaha nice

Blood Child
26th July 2005, 08:09 PM
yeah. only $36 too. i expected it to be like 500 lol

screech
26th July 2005, 08:16 PM
SERIOUS $36 is that it?

damn ive always wanted to get one but the thought of pricing something from MERC scares the shit out of me. thats cheap!

oh well you beat me to it, does it look good on the car?

Blood Child
26th July 2005, 08:19 PM
i'm not sure yet
i hope to find out this weekend. just i have no idea how to stick it to the grill so it'll stay, cos it's just an adhesive backing
any ideas?

screech
26th July 2005, 08:28 PM
is it the spongy double sided tape, or the thin stuff.

if its the thicker stuff then just stick it on. if its the thin shit without much contact patch, then try some sikaflex (polyurethane adhesive). panel beaters and vehicle body builders use this shit and once it dries it is very solid like a hard rubber.

Blood Child
26th July 2005, 08:56 PM
it's the spongy stuff, but i need it to stay for sure. maybe stick it to a backing plate bolted to the grill where the toyota badge went?

probably just work on it until it's worth towing to the track

I'd love to own 2 sprinters... Just wish I had the room to keep them at home! Nice ride as well man.

my blue daily currently has a warped head, melted dizzy cap/rotor button, holey radiator and all the associated problems with blowing a 4ac.

should be fixed in the next week or 2. mechanic seems to think it'll go even better than before (so it should for another $650).

it was tuff and fast before so any 4ages/dynos want a fight, challengers will be welcome. lol

also thinking of putting up a sign on the shed at my new place, 'lazy crap for crap automotive' or something.

cheers - Archer
