a lot might have been cubed or used for parts though, plus the fact that a few have been imported.. hard to say really..

the market value for mine was $1000, cost me $500 for third person, i have seen 3 sprinters in vic other then the ones at calder

I thought we just give what we think, and gold86 would tell us the real answer.

Seriously I'd say they'd be thousands. The ones that are sitting in the garage ready to be worked on, the hot ones cruising around, the daily drivers, the drifters the untapped sources (the ones that are driven by old ladies, this was b4 initial d was out).

Again, sorry guys. I didn't think anyone would take me seriously.

A guy i know from one of the toyota dealers said ther was about 300-400 ae86 sprinters sold in australia between 83-84 id say there prob 100 on the road, most of em are rusted out and there's a few imports around now , but yeah ive only seen prob 25 at the most

there is like at LEAST 200 in adelaide

35 to 40 of the actuall drifter dudes

25+ dudes not in the scene

about another 40 stockers i see around

10 old people

20-30 in work shops - i definitely know of 7 off the top of my head!

10 in wreckers

etc etc

sa really is the drift state!

AE860004804 right here... and according to our Toyota FAST system... that's Series: 00 Date: Jun/1983.

AE860001187 is may 1983.

So you can sorta work out that this means between May and June australia got at least 3617 cars.
