How bad a name have the lebs in the videos given us, (nothing against lebs, but the ones on those stories deserve shooting...)
just giving a current affair more content to stay one sided

I swear some of those cars had N2O..... I mean... how else can you get sped up footage and bluring like that with out it?? http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/rolleyes.gif

Someone at ACA been watching too much F&F.

The only problem I have with threads that pop up like this in different car forums is the "holyer than thou" and "Mr Innocent" replys.

Guys lets face it.... we may not do burnouts and pull fooli sik heli's in our hecktic VL, but please don't tell me you don't ever have a squirt in your car. Even if all you do is accelerate as hard as you can to the speed limit and back off.... it is still frowned upon by the law.

Anyway..... it all comes down to driver attitude and respect for oneself and others, something the guy that said "I'll build a faster car" obviously has a major problem with. Blatant disregard! http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/rolleyes.gif

I recon the general public should turn a blind eye to those who are trying ever so hard to make themselves look tough and let the police beat them to a bloody pulp. Time and place for everything, doing stupid shit is their own choice, let them cop some concequence..

i dont doubt this but in relation to this particular story the conduct of these guys was appaling. If you had a camera from aca or tt taping you for a story on hooning you'd at least act decently & not like a total fuckwit

people like this give enthusiasts a bad name

agree with you Medicine Man

yep....ACA feeded some more hoon shit out to the public tonight....is that 3 times in 2 weeks.......

We need some responsible modded car owners to shed some light on the good examples of these people instead of the negatives all the time...... those lads from the stories last week or wheneva it was were pure fuckwits.........how stupid can u be......bring the whole scene down some more.......now in response to their behaviour ACA had the oppertunity to go along with a mass cop operation that went out their with the intention of pulling every modded car up and fucking them over.....
gets me fuckin angry.....that a modded car owner is automatically labelled a hoon......................life sux

lol... u don't think clear, educated letters have been sent to ACA?

off course they have... but they are only interested in the small minority of car 'eunthiesists' who have a iq of less than 50 cause they look more stupid and draw more ratings

That guy in that last video is 100% right, if you keep moving them on they will just find another place to go and rip skids and cause havoc. When will the government give in and let people have a place to go without fear of being targeted by the police to be defected/fined...

yeh.... I know man.....the media have a banquet over the irrisponsible people coz thats what gets the most attention ect for there program.......

Im talking about someone with the ways and means of making a similar article up showing the exact opposite, letting the public know that not all modded owners are dickheads... (not just writing a letter in)

But that is the media this day in age, the focus is always on the negatives, rarely see a positive story. Never see stories the pleasure having a fun car to drive can bring.

Heh.... this reminds me of Bill Hicks stand up comedy.

"You never hear about good drug experiences.... only ever hear the bad stories. Wouldn't it be good to at least once have a news story that goes like, 'Today a young man on acid realised that all matter is mearly engery condensed through a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, life is only a dream and we are the imaginations of ourselves......... Here's Tom with the weather!'"

sorry man...brain implosion...didnt mean to sound harsh

its typical of the media to portray the negative side to things...most news stories are because its what atracts viewers

do you guys really think that the media is just going to turn around and say "oh we were wrong car ethusiasts are really all bible readers and would never break the law"?

as for the blind eye, bloody pulp comment.. when you start to bend the rules like that shit all just goes downhill, i think there are more important scum out there that need to be taken care of. off topic but did you know, everytime a pedofile is bashed in jail they automatically get a payout in the 5figures?

i agree with you all... in bits and peaces.

I'm not waiting for the media to appoligize for focusing on a minority, and i'm not saying we're all well behaved. But i am going to place some of the responsibility on the government for not giving us a place to go...

i.e. "Operation Drag" on the gold coast... they tore it down and now there's no where for race enthusiasts to go but the streets... THEY SHOULD MAKE A SMALL DRIFT TRACK!!! that would be cool http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif

sorry bout the spelling mistakes... if there are any... yes thats right... i'm drunk at work... http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/dry.gif

The problem with the old "operation drag" was that people still would come out of there speeding and doing burnouts going back onto Nerang-Broadbeach Rd. And there where still races on the streets at industrial areas, Bermuda Rd, and for those that where brave enough "read: absolute nut cases" there used to be drag races across the Hinze Dam before they put the speed bumps in.

This just proves to you that it is not a direct result of not giving people a place to go. Like I have stated previously.... its driver attitude, nothing more nothing less.

As for our very own Driftland here in SE QLD, yes good idea, but again.... is it something that is open when the temptation comes at 3am in the morning to go have a bit of fun? Once again.... driver attitude and self control is the key!
