suspension tuning is a fine art
too little or too much camber can adversely affect handling. for instance too much camber can reduce the contact patch area of the tyre with the road and therefore affect braking.

camber cant be adjusted on the rear of an ae86 because it has a solid axle. so you dont need to worry about that.

basically, camber causes wheels to be angled in at the top and out at the bottom. when you turn in a corner, the car leans over and onto the full gripping surface of the tyre.

problem is that when you have the wheels on an angle, the car is not sitting on the entire grip surface, just the insides of the tyres. this means that when you are driving in a straight line you have less grip, meaning that braking can be effected. but as soon as you turn you get the full grip from the tyres.

tip: castor is better as you get camber when you steer, but not when you are driving straight.

dammit...its too hard to explain through writing :S

was trying to word it correctly for ages http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif
