it is defilinty worth the swap, the 4a-c would only be putting out around 30 to 40kw but with the 4age it would be around 80 or so, depends on what condition the engine is in. And for a time mabye around the 16 to 17 mark?

I've seen a stock 88kw (from AE82 twinky) in an AE86 run a 16 flat at willowbank with only a pod filter and extractors / exhaust system.

Take a look at this table on 4AGE.net (http://www.4age.net/fastest/index.htm). It probably hasn't been updated for a long time though. Here's a few of the more powerful examples:

Anthony Pedwell AE86 CA18DET 13.663 108mph
Bill Sherwood AE86 4AGE 16v 14.93 145kph (Note: not stock, worked NA 4AGE)
Glenn Gilis AE86 4AGE 16v 15.8 (Note: twin carbs)

my engine is blue top, with 40 thou' rebore and new pistons, shaved head and block, running a microtech fuel + ign control system.

i make 85 Hp at rear wheels, i expect to do no better then a 16s 1/4 mile.

how much your conversion will cost all depends on who you know, and what you can do yourself. my engine conversion, rebuild and detailing all up cost me $5k.

As previously mentioned I have a video on my hard drive somewhere of an AE86 with a stock 300,000km old 88kw do a 16 flat. With all those extra goodies I would definitely hope to be in the 15's if I was you http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif
