Did you have the interior stripped down at all?

Cheers

Medwin_3sGTE_AE86
5th June 2005, 12:25 PM
Yes the car is stripped...but the car had 30odd kgs of tools/jacks etc in the back....the car weighs 938kgs wet...
I'll be doin another run once i get fit my LSD and get my camgears sorted... probably with MR2drift....

to everyone...post ur times...doesnt matter if its on gtech or whatever... just state what u measured with, conditions and maybe a lil info about ur car

to the moderators....maybe u can make this a sticky...or move it to the relevant sections... thanks...

I ran a 17.4 in the gold 86 and just ran it on sat in the black 86 which has a 16v ran a 15.8

The other night I ran a 15.669 @ 139kph and my clutch was slipping like a mofo! cant wait to get a decent clutch and some cams. It was a terrible run, i recon i could go close to a 15 flat with a decent clutch!

Whats happening guys? A 20v with cams doing those times??

samuel
1st July 2005, 02:51 PM
Indeed

I have seen a 300,000km old STOCK 88kw bigport 4AGE in an AE86 with extractors and pod run a 16 flat.

Somethings not quite right there

havent had the chance yet...soon, very soon. a high 12 would be nice but realistically a low to mid 13 is probable in its current state

Open diff is the main problem.... with my diff now i should be able to dip into a 14.... once cam gears are sorted... should get around low to mid 14's...

i had a go a while ago with a stopwatch and a gravel road and got pretty close to 30 seconds i think. (that's what u get for trying to do 3 things with 2 hands)
lol
mind you, that was in my 1.2L ke50. i know it does 0-100 in about 14 seconds if that counts for anything

I ran a 15.67 in my old 16v 4AGE AE86, stripped rear seats, 4.1 diff and only mod was a pod filter, 100kw engine running 88kw? ECU apparently runs richer?, no other mods apart from those. I think i could get it down to a 15.59 with better rear tyres as mine where crap and hard to launch, also i flat changed every gear http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif this was at Calder park 18months ago i can dig up the slip for solid proof http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif most of my other times with 15.8-16.5 last run i put it all together

my 86 coupe..full weight (seats etc intact)
185/65/15s (only for the big burnouts i was doing!)
140hp @ the wheels
4AGZE - 10psi
extractors/2.25" exhaust
front mount, and pod were the only things done at the time

et - 13.962 & 97mph (gze not good for top end as most of you know!)
60ft - 1.9 (you should see the video of the launch! almost looks AWD!)

straight from a drift circuit, no susp changes and all i did was let pressure from the 2/3 bald rear tyres, stiff as suspension, ran a 13.2 @ 109 mph at willowbank, spinning tyres all the way to third. IF we bothered setting it up for drags, would possibly pull a 12.6-12.7 but drags are gay....

yeah i know it does seem afully slow, the other sad part is my brother was in my old corolla twincam16 which only has exhaust and pod filter, and the 4age in it is quite worn and uses oil and it beat me in the red86 by about a bonnet length. not happy jan

i ran 13.9 at 105 mph in my ke 70 should be heaps better when the auto is finished, i couldnt launch off the start and had to change gears like a bus driver, also had to take off on low boost and in second gear hit high boost. street tyres and a single spinner diff (stocker).[attachment=10359:attachment]

Just out of curiosity what would a KE70 with a 4agze average ?

-Bigport gze

-K&N pod
-T-50 and BW open diff
-No backseats and on cheese cutter 13" rims

prolly high 14's... the single spinner and cheese cutters will be the major draw back..

The best i could get with that exact setup was 15.1 and was hitting limiter in 3rd right on the finish line. it loses traction too easily hahahaha.

I just got back from the drags...

Did a 14.7 @ 152.3 km/hr

Pretty happy with that really,
Running a stock GZE @ 7PSI boost
top mount as a front mount
4.3 diff
really stiff suspension and old crappy tyres

I was expecting mid to high 15's so that was a pleasant surprise
