Nice car man. If I end up getting a sprinter, later on down the track I might look into doing an sr conversion or the gze bottom end with the 20v head and a turbo bolted on.

makes 145rwkw as quoted on CHARLIE's motors dyno, with everything set resonably conservative, in other words is a little detuned to prolong engine life, uses a few other tricks to help keep it alive as well, ie, oil cooler, high volume sump, nismo thermostate and such http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/blink.gif

(Brett typing) hey guys, those templates that l m talkin about are pretty big, as in life size, there for the main hoop, front legs, rear gussets (these link the shock mount, inner guard and the top of the sping seat together) and other little bits and pieces so if u live in brisbane and are interested just drop me a msg OK

...Dodgy pic of the first type of gusset used, have 10sets laser cut at the moment

Garage Hiramatsu is importing a whole bunch of parts fairly shortly and this includes a 8 point AE86 cage for $850.
If you want to see the cage call paul on 0438 377 028.

Very nice hachi! You have def. put in lots of effort on stiffening. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/ohmy.gif

Are you using oem castor rods? Also how do you find your braking traction with that much neg. camber?

S13 sus works wicked in a hachi hey http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

Just a noob of a question here...
Do you have to run Silvia suspension gear with that conversion?
Can you do a general write up of the conversion.
I am about to start one.
cheers

upgarage
26th July 2005, 10:11 PM
pretty much same as ca conversion.
motor sits on the original crossmember with custom engine and gbox mounts with a custom tailshaft.
also custom exhaust and coolerpiping

(Brett typing) sorry for not repleying sooner guys, comp has been gettn repaired,

JOEL - Am using s13 control arms that are a little longer than the sigma arms but the hubs on a s13 have less offset (smaller scrub radius) so it works out to about the same width as the sigma arm set up, they just need one extra hole drilled and the bracket that limits steering removed from the arm, works a treat.

KE70 DRIFTER - Dude l have plenty of footage just not sure how to convert it to a mpeg and such, would be keen to find out how to do it if u know how or know somebody who does.

EVAN - ah were to start dude, l have written the list of parts and what is required to do the conversion up somewhere just carnt remember where exactly, will do a post just for u dude in tech articles OK, just need to know weather u want to know about the engine conversion or the suspension conversion, cheers dude.

(Brett typing) Hey man, with the axles it just realy depends on if ur diff is locked or limo, but yeah, lve gone through 2 axles so far with a T18 t series diff with a 4.1 ratio centre, would just run a RA40 t series as there super plentiful at wreckers and can be bought realy cheaply (are 10mm wider either side), other than the set of axles ive also gone through 3 diff centres, mainly due to poor setup probably tho, the centre im using at the moment has lasted ages as l set it up properly.

The bars that go accross the doors have to be removable too, if it is to be licenced as a daily driver (well here in W.A. anyway) But apart from that yeah all it needs is a mod plate.
