AW11 is definitly AFM. and use a distributor as opposed to DLI like the later models. Umm what else do you need to know?

u can change it to map by running an aftermarket ecu (eg mircotech)
yeah some say "semi forged" they are ceramic coated which is a major plus. either way the bottom end is farking strong, basically indestructable as far as factory bottom ends are concerned.
turbo setup, personally i dont think its worth it, get a pulley kit instead, save $1,000's

if ur after assistance in installing it in a hachi, a friend recently put one in his g/f's ae86.
and being the nice guy he is, he's written up how to do it for any other people that want to know how;
GZE conversion in ae86 (http://www.driftpimp.com/gzeconv.htm)

hope this helps.

Chris.

hey man...i agree with VeRm69...stay with the supercharger and get a pully kit...i got a gze in my sprinter without the pully kit and it has more than enough power to keep the wheels turning....although im still looking at getting a pully kit...

but thats cause im greedy and want more....lol

yeah i think the S/C will do 4 a while then i will go big pulley im not to sure now bout the turbo idea.

where can i get a new haltech at a alrite price from???

VL turbo external fuel pumps work fine...thats what i got...id be just going for a microtech....they cost about $1090 and can be tuned almost anywhere...very user friendly....

i think you will be more than happy with the stock 4AGZE...makes the car real fun to drive...very torquey

ive just done the conversion. the aw11 is afm, which is alright in a way cause u can run something like an apexi S-AFC so u can adjust your air/fuel ratio easily. i think i sent u a big list of stuff i had to do.

as far as putting a turbo onto it, the bottom end is awesome, here are the specs for the engine http://www.club4ag.com/faq%20and%20tech_pa...A-GZE_specs.htm (http://www.club4ag.com/faq%20and%20tech_pages/4A-GZE_specs.htm)

u can put a turbo onto it fairly simply, ditch the sc and get a rwd inlet (these flow a lot better than standard ones anyway) then u just gotta setup your turbo properly. I have been told that on a good condition engine the bottom end can handle up to 25psi, however thats not recomembed. The guy i spoke to said that 15-18psi is fine any day of the week, as long as the bottom end is in good condition.

hope thats helps out a bit http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif
