well personally I liked the Trueno front and looks like I got a chance to do the conversion now but do you guys think if its worth the money? coz with the money to buy a Trueno front is basically the same as the cost of a full body kit(I mean some copy ones), could be more than that too.

But I'm also thinking if I keep the Levin look but spend money on kouki headlights and grill & foggies etc also end up costing me a fair bit of money.

If I go Trueno I must go white and black(reason is none of the Truenos I've seen impressed me except if they are black and white), may not be panda but only front bar and rear bar black, but I''ve seen at least 3 in Sydney in this colour scheme and they'r quite famous 86 in the community now, so people would probably saying me copying http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/dry.gif , which is not a good thing. And also my car have got a damn f**ken sunroof would never mate with the Trueno look IMO, so probably I'll seal it if I do the Trueno conversion, which will make a lot of troubles.

Say if I keep the Levin look, I can go varies difference colours(means not specific as Levin looks good to me on whatever colour), probably be a dark colour like blue coz I've seen some good examples from Option magazines, and those blue 86s on the magz made me decided to buy mine and build it up like those. And must do body kits carbon bonnet and kouki stuffs too!!!(the Aust spec look sometimes make me feel my car looks the same as those kids and old men corrollas now), but there's also already many blue in here too http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/angry.gif . I really don't want my car look the same as another one when I go to crusie....

I must decide before the Trueno front gone as I think its quite rare to find in here.
So do you guys mind to give me some advises.

I reckon if you want a Trueno, you should buy a Trueno http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

Setting up a car is a very personal thing. Have a look through photos and decide exactly what you like and aim for that

white with black bumpers does look sweet on trueno's... and trueno's are certainly less common than aus spec. i think it sounds like a good idea but yeah, up to you.

O, Is the S2000 blue the same as Mazda 3's blue? as I think the Mazda blue is a little bit lighter colour with some metalic or some sort of pearl not really know what that is, but that is the "winning blue" on the new Mazda cars you can see on the street. Can I do that?
not exactly know the differences of paint from the photos but I reckon they would be different... http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/ph34r.gif

Hey just saw your car on member rides, your car looks hot, but how come the engine bay's colour is white while your orginal colour was blue?? By the way I will only do rear pods but not rear bar. and I think the Mazda 3 colour is not the same as s2000 ones, hope no one else will do Mazda 3 blue on sprinter lol

hyuga, to do a trueno conversion you need headlights (and lights, motor etc), wiring, support, front fenders, bumper, indicator and bumper inserts. Should cost ya about 1 grand all up for all the parts if you go to the right sources and don't get ripped off because its "JDM tyte yo parts". If you want, jump on an american Takumi fancl... i mean AE86 forum and offer to swap your "Levin" front end with their corolla GTS and pay only frieght costs.

I've got some of the parts because initially I wanted to do the front swap because it was somewhat different to all the generic sprinters around. I couldn't give a rats arse to the purists who reckon only real tureno's should have trueno fronts. However after spending some time with the car in a wind tunnel with a mate of mine (who's a aerodynamics engineer with some free time) we figured the intercooler would be better off in a levin front than a cramped tureno front. So now my trueno headlights are sittin in my garage doin sweet buggery until inark gets his ae86 shell and bolts em on.

If you wanna stand out from the crowd, and want your car to look aesthetically cool, then do it. If you're setting up a track car, don't.
