Well for starts its a 2.0l, its more tourquey than the 4age, less likely to break like the det version, still puts out a decent amount of hp standard. Suprised theres not too man more of these running around..........

the later SR20DE with VVT is the shizzle, the old one with no coilpacks and no VVT is well... pretty ordinary performance wise. I guess anything's an improvement on a 4AC, or even a 16V 4AGE.

Plus its a chance to use a stronger box than the old T50

Not dissing the car option1, but i don't understand if your gonna put a sr20 in it why not go turbo? If your gonna go through all the effort, why not?

sure it's a great engine, but why not put the turbo in wile your at it?

is there a reason you chose not to go turbo?

It would have just been a cheaper option than a turbo.
How much power does it have?

option1
29th June 2005, 06:03 PM
Its all very simple really ........ Had the car , had the complete engine package sitting here that we had taken out of an s13 so mated them together ! Easy enough to put a turbo motor in it from there if you wanted to ..... And yes still for sale

That has a Mines computer as well - should go good !

yeah this would be a cool project car
more power then a 4age and just as light

well a mate of mine has a sr20de onevia and its no where near as fast as the 4age in my sprinter and the stupid 4age is never running right.
But im guessing the weight difference and other factors as building it up instead of stock vs stock it will go great! Now option1 get this thing to track asap

Yeah but the SR20DE that came out in the S14 came with VVT.
He/she should of still spent the extra money and got the S14 SR20DE VVT.

(Brett typing) Looks like a typicaly shit conversion Paul'y, http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/ohmy.gif gotta love those radiator brakets and the bolt in radiator support, classy.

Should have mounted it back 30mm more, at least the bonnet might have a chance at closeing, not to mention that the steering rack will never be able to be tacken out with the motor in the car and is plain dodgy using standard 86 clutch master cylinder so hoping ur change it. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/blink.gif

If u were after help that badly u could have just called me for advice. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif

P.S. Paul u know as good as l do thats theres no difference between turbo and non-turbo boxes right, ah and the wirings abortional too after seeing that thing

Would the different gear ratios line up with the optimal rev ranges of the N/A engine?

hows thaht spamming cock head? he just asked a question..

Alot is different between putting a sr20 and 4age into cars.. 4age is relatively easy, sr20 gotta modify gearbox tunnel etc etc etc
