so far i havent done much to it as im saving for an engine conversion (im still at school and only earn a dismal pay!). upgraded the stereo. have had to replace quite a few things as when i bought it it was in a very bad state http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/sad.gif . so far the list is something like: new headlight, new windscreen, new pasenger side mirror, recondish head & gasket, thermostat, new front brake hoses (which had to be custom built as ABS didn't have a listing for them).... http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/blink.gif

any way heres some pics
also i have got mags on the car but dont have any pics of them on yet!

man that thing's slammed , neat car dude[/b]

http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/huh.gif i'm pretty certain the car is stock height. unless previous owner did it but didn't tell me???

yeah about that sticker... i cant fully remove unless i can pay for respraying as because it has been clear coated over and im guessing the paint under neath hasnt faded. also som parts of my car were resprayed before i got it making the possiblity of cut & polish out the window

just a quick update, just got some king springs 4 my car.

all i need now is some new shockers

Joel-AE86
26th October 2005, 01:59 PM
You wont need new shocks for king springs.

Only worth getting new shocks if you're going to run some much greater spring rates, or unless your shocks are farkt!

dori_86
2nd November 2005, 05:07 PM
cheers for the info but i think they could be screwd. im not 100% tho so i'll c once i put my springs in

dori_86
13th January 2006, 11:49 PM
heres an update:

just put the new springs in and the back shockers were so bad that on one of them you could very very easily squash it, it then took ages to return 2 normal, got new KYB rear shockers off truenosedan (cheers), car hadles 100X better now, i've left the front shockers as they seemed aight, and thought i'd save some money as i want front coilovers in the end anywayz.

ps still saving for an engine...

pps i think i might swap diffs next as my s-series diff has started to make som noise http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/blink.gif so i think it may b time for the swap...

chapl
14th January 2006, 01:25 PM
there are a couple of T series at u-pullit.
let me know if you are goin and i could give you a hand!
cheers

dori_86
14th January 2006, 02:39 PM
which 1? do u know if there the swaybar 1's? also how much do they charge 4 a diff? and the big question will it fit into the back of a sprinter with seats down?

chapl
16th January 2006, 10:09 AM
at lonsdale. bout 170 i think. and it will fit in your car.

lol i fit a T series in the back of my girlfriends beetle!!!!1

dori_86
29th March 2006, 09:22 PM
hey heres another update
i have now bought and have sitting at home waiting to go in:

-T series diff (not swaybar model) & driveshaft
-Joels old exhaust! cheers joel!
-Some sigma lca and RA40 tie rods. cheers genkin!
-ordered new "old skool" number plates..? 2 weeks roughly!

-and hopefully a pair of redlines soon to be purchased!

dori_86
4th April 2006, 02:10 PM

RobertoX
4th April 2006, 05:28 PM
coming along alright now, but if you are short on cash, why did you get plates that just mean more attention from cops

chapl
4th April 2006, 05:33 PM
agree, dont buy the tail lights and plates, and save for a 4age/4agze http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tup.gif http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/wink.gif

selk
4th April 2006, 08:06 PM
redlines r worth it

dori_86
4th April 2006, 11:19 PM
im buying the plates so i have the rights too them and also redlines are for when i start to "clean" my car up, bcos i like em, plus there usually 800-1000 new and i dont really car if 2nd hand, and half the price, the plates only cost $50 for rights and $21 to get made, plus there not really "custom" just an old skool number plate starting with S..-086 (similar to steves SIK-086 plates), so they look normal ish but not putting them on straight away.

i think i might do suspension b4 engine any way at the moment, mayb some AJPS springs and some new front shocks to match.. but thats later on

it's all about preparation!

RobertoX
5th April 2006, 12:36 AM
oh! i thought you were getting the plates with "OLD SCHOOL"

which would of been uber homosexual, just like the word uber

dori_86

i may just paint my rear bumper as it looks weird being a black front and grey rear!

i may even add a cheapo muffler/zorst while i still save for LSD this time as ive had a t-series sitting there for a while without being used!

quick update..

chuck in my fully sick drift nob!!! OMG uleh! http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif (no pics yet)

still waiting on suspension stuff from da US of A!

also still saving up for an LSD, not sure which 1 to choose tho, as apparently the TRD r good and quiet but arent as agressive as some of the other 1's like cusco, tomei or kaaz... is there a "ultimate" LSD for the ae86?

RB20DET_Silvia
19th June 2006, 09:27 PM
There is one which is noisy and agressive.....its called "welder" cheap and will always work lol!

Go with a kazz or a cusco never a bad word heard about them.

- Luke

19th June 2006, 11:12 PM
Nice going, I'm kind of in the same situation... You doing it most yourself?

dori_86
20th June 2006, 02:15 AM
yeah ive heard of that "welder" brand before, and keep getting told to invest in getting some of there stuff put in. especially by other customer of welders' http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif

yeha i'll try most my self but as A-spec / steve is in SA and is cheap /reliable mechanic i dont mind giving some money to local 86 / drift businessesesesssess, plus bushes r near impossible to get off without a press and i dont know how 2 weld also helps my decision.

it also doesnt help that i work casual, study fulltime plus doing a uni degree thats costs me most of my pay on materials and stuff for it.

so saving money is quite hard... really really hard, but i havent majorly gone out since the start of Uni so that helps a bit on saving but when i do is cheap predrinks and happy hours all night long! http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif

any ways i will post more once things start happening!

another update:

BOUGHT:

-14x7 rims (+8 offset) -look alright (see pics) *thinking of painting black*
-Short shifter (see pics) would anyone know what the thing circled in red name is, and if i can get a replacement part for it by itself not in a package?

SOON:
-all my coilover stuff should be in my hands by the end of the week, so i will post pics when there installed mayb a week or two (if i can get time off from work & and in between my uni studies!!!)

PLANS:
-buy an LSD by end of this year and start entering some comps with the 4AC PowAH!!!! http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/laugh.gif
-get and engine sorted out for next year possibly re-built so i can get it installed by the end of next year so i can abuse it http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif

18th July 2006, 04:40 PM
That bits a shifter bush, AJPS sells the oversize T3 ones for like $15. You could probably get the bush by itself off Toyota but it will probably cost you about the same amount.

dori_86
24th July 2006, 03:51 PM

10th August 2006, 12:53 PM
very nice car mate, if you want noisy and aggressive go for the cusco 2 way lsd MZ, if you want something more quiet and a bit less aggressive then the RS, the KAAZ i believe its even more quiet then all of these. The lsd started to annoy me driving on the street doing u-turns especially, just do a fully sick clutch dump and do it in style, i think TRD/KAAZ is more streetable

dori_86
11th August 2006, 12:54 AM
so what LSD did u have?

trueno86
11th August 2006, 01:51 AM

CURRENT PARTS
