First of all, is your ae86 insured?
If so, who buy and is it a good price?

Cheers

$240 for a SR20DET 180! http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/ohmy.gif Thats amazing!

When my 86 was rego'd i was with 'just cars' and my 3rd party was about $440.
With few mods.

yeah but they may only allow 2 mods like alot of insurance companys

and say your car had mags, new stereo and exhaust
well then they will not cover you

My sprinter is with shannons, Heap cheaper than AAMI and Just Car, and they list the car as Modified, ie as many mods as you want as long as its legal. They can also sort you out for on-track insurance too.

On track insurance? I wouldn't mind sum of that..... at the right price of course.

Yeah, i dont think its cheap, but as long as its an event run by a cams club or something then its possible. But i dont htink it will cover "accidents caused by massif Tool-dom"

Shannons wouldn't give me a quote as I have made 2 claims in the past 5 years (not on this car though)

I've got mine insured with just cars and i'm paying $743 (stock other than sports steering wheel and pedals) Full Compo. Got a quote from them a while back for when I do all the work and it is only going to be $754 full comp (with CA18DET, Full suspension, LSD included) Only thing that I will get stung by is excess cos of a loss of licence a couple of years back. If I am at fault, will cost around $1200 for the excess.

EDIT:

Just got an update on my insurance, will now be $580 cos i am now on rating 2

insurance???????

shotgun security maybe?? lol

my sprinter was under RAA, cheap as chips

my ke70 isnt insured yet, and i dont think i will

the car is worth $400

and all the stuff in it is worth more lol!

i dont see it being worth it yet...

i dont drive like an ass during the day so no real reason for me to write off into some beamer

cos and i am young etc the excess would be $800-1000 which covers just about all cars anyway

they are a waste of time and paperwork in general

had i a nice car, late model, in good cond the story would be different
