Is the T18 T50 slightly different?

Different input shafts or something?

T18 T50s have a 20 spline output shaft compared to the AE71/AE86's 22 spline. Not sure about input.

TA22s also had T50s, but are pretty shit to be using in a E7 or 86 from what I've read. Wrong shifter position etc.

Absolutely correct.

Corona
Anything pre RT104 uses a W40, Some RT104's have W50's.
XT130 - Borgwarner, good for nothign
RT132 / RT133 - W50
ST141 - Borgwarner, good for little apart from 3S conversion
RT142 - W55

Celica -
TA22 - As above, T-50, not suitable A Motor application (T motor only)
RA28 - W50 / P51
RA40 - W50?
RA60 - W55
SA63 - W55
RA65 - W55/W57

Supra -
MA40 - W50
MA61 - W58
GA70 / MA70 - W58
JZA70 turbo - R154
JZA70 non turbo - W58
JZA80 turbo - V160 / V161
JZA80 non turbo - W58?! (steel case version?!)

The Celica is fully imported, so SA63 box is a W series.
RA40 is mechanicaly the same as RA23/28, so W50 yes.

Early T18 has same output spline as TA22 and KE30.
Late T18 has same output spline as AE86.

The TA22 box can be used, either for parts, or a replacement gearbox if you swap some parts over.

and what is in the corollas?

What Corolla?

Javal

and what is in the corollas?

KE10 - K40
KE20 - K40
KE30 - K40
KE55 - K40/K50
KE70 - K40/K50
AE71 - T-50
AE82 onwards - FWD

Early (pre KE70) K50's will not suit KE70, the extension housings are different. You can swap them if you want. I didn't list corolla because i thought it was common knowledge.

Unless you're running a K motor, or have a K-50 from a AE85, which will suit an A motor.

I always thought an RA60 had a W50? It was only ever behind the very unmighty 21RC.
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but this is what previous internet research has led me to believe.

definitely not the case.

no a6x ever had a w50. sa63 are all w55. ra60 are mostly w57 from what ive seen. think 65 have either 57 or 58

all w series outputs are the same no sure about p51's tho

FYI i measured the size of the yoke and its 5mm bigger than a t50, so being sherlock holmes i gathered the output shaft is 5mm bigger than a t50 one comprende?

P51's are almost exactly identical to W50 bar some internal differences (synchros, bearings etc). Input, output shafts are the same, as are the ratios.
