hi all... does anyone know if a BOV will function on a 4AGZE...or does the supercharger shut off too early to create any pressure...

just curious....

I know of and have heard of many people using BOV's on 4agze motors.... not sure of whats required but I believe the BOV has to be between the SC outlet and the intake....

why would you need a bov on a 4agze?

You could use it as a crude overboost valve inbetween the charger & the TB but it's shouldn't be needed. Basically it's useless.

its all about tha Phsssssssttttttt.... nothing more... as it is for 99% of people who get a BOV that vents to the atmosphere...

but it doesnt go pscht
it actually sucks in air

4agze already have the ABV(air bypass valve) too

funny you should say that....my supercharger seems to have acquired a bit of a growling noise....so i am just about to start looking for a manifold otherwise i will make my own....i have a t25G spare in my room which is in excellent condition that iv been too lazy to sell...so that will prob be my start to a turbo conversion...

anyone know anyone with a manifold they wanna sell....

yeah the ABV is basically a BOV, however when the motor is running vaccum pressure it opens up the other way to let air circulate around the SC. This cant be removed as the SC is after the throttle but before the motor itself. If you are running an AW11 4agze that has the AFM you cant use a BOV that vents to atmosphere as the ECU will think there is more air in the system than there actually is. You can however re-pipe the SC so its before the throttle and AFM that way you can run an atmosphere venting BOV wth no hassle, but that is fairly involved and expensive http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif

conclusion: just wack a turbo on there http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif

BOV's should only be used on WRXs.
