Ok guys im a little stumped.

Gotta slight leak from the back of the water pump.

Time for a replacement but what do i use, i doubt ill ever find and original RWD water pump.

Maybe AE86 4AC water pump will work, being the same block and all.

Any thoughts.

If i was ready to go thermo id go electric pump but not yet. And id like to keep the clutch fan for the time being.

Help appreciated.

Cheers

Steve

Go into your local AutObarn store and have a look in their Powermax Water Pump book and the Corolla AE86 in their actually lists it being a RWD 4AGE which works. The AE82/92 isn't long enough. The AE86 is the same but has a longer shaft.

you guys are drunk. use a 4ac one. the only differance is the rib on the casting that follows the cam belt cover is differant. ive done it before. i think i may have had to cut something. but youre mad paying $90.

also if the leak is from behind you probably dont need a pump, unless its corroded. you only really need a pump if its leaking from that little hole underneath.
