Steering Wheel Clicking

Help, all of a sudden my steering wheel no longer locks (when the car is turned off and ignition) and when I turn up a driveway or turn more than 60 degrees my something near my steering wheel clicks.
I took the steering wheel off and there didn't seem to be any problem that I can see.

you will have to pull your ignition switch out so you can see the steering lock mechanism. it has obviously let go some how i haven't heard of it before! may be better to take it to a workshop if you aren't confident enough to pull it apart yourself, as it may affect your steering as you are driving, it may suddenly decide to lock.

It deciding to look one time when going into my driveway, luckly it was a very slow speed but nealy snapped my rist. It doesn't click no more (i pulled the steering wheel and boss kit off and had a little look) but now my steering wheel doesn't lock (when the keys aren't in the ignition) Wierd
